The dormitory is small and the beds are hard, but it does the job. The hallway and the toilet are only cleaned in the morning and then it gets dirty for the rest of the day, the staff are great and they'll try and do anything to help. Over all it's a good place for a backpacker for a few days, considering the price

The room was ok. The stuff is nice. The shower and the toilet weren't that clean. There's no washing machine so people wash their clothes in the sink as a result there's a lot of water around it.

The location was incorrect, so I reached the wrong location. After complaining they updated the location. There is no toilet paper in the washrooms. They have boiling water at the reception table. So every time you have to come down if in case of water. No normal temperature water is provided.

The position is very good, very central and close to everything. the staff is friendly and ready to help and there is a nice working space.
However I was shocked at how dirty it was, especially the bathrooms. This is mainly because of the people who use it, who leave their hair everywhere and are completely careless. Also, there are no wipes, no amenities available. I stayed for 5 days, the room was never cleaned, the sheets were never changed.

That has been the worst place I have ever stayed in. Unless you are used to this type of conditions YOU SHOULD AVOID THIS PLACE. The toilet was extremely dirty and the whole area with wash basins was covered in black mold. The floor must have never been cleaned in the room. Toilets were in absolutely terrible state and there was a broken urinal that keep flushing toilet all over the place. The place stinks as hell (especially the toilets). In the rooms there are no power outlets besides weak USB ports in the wall, that could not charge up my phone throughout the whole night. AC in the rooms barely works and after opening the window the place gets FLOODED with mosqiutoes. They do not provide towels, all you can get are flip-flops that I wouldn't dear to wear considering how "hygenic" the place is. Have I forgot to notice, that THERE IS NO SOAP AND TOILET PAPER IN THE TOILET. I am a foreigner, so my expectations may be a little bit high, but if you are also a foreigner: PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE, unless you are on an extremely tight budget. It's not worth it; you should rather get a place further from the city center, you can still use the Shanghai Metro. Good locations is not worth experiencing that place. Well, the service was okay and smooth, I didn't have any trouble checking in and checking out. Also, staff doesn't really speak English so bear that in mind.

Very nice staff but small rooms.
Beds are not for tall people, but quite comfortable.
Be careful, there are several Mijia hostels in town.
