HanTing Hotel (Shanghai The Bund Yuyuan Subway Station)

This hotel was conveniently nice and close to the bund and to the main Nanjing road. The staff were lovely and always greeted us. We stayed here 3 nights, the room was very small but mostly clean and tidy. We booked a non smoking room but stepping into the room it actually was repulsive. It stunk soo bad of cigarettes and was especially bad after returning to the room after being away for the day. The room was obviously smoked in for many years prior as the windows were stained yellow and the curtains stunk. The aircon was making me super ill in the mornings, asthma and sore chest, I didn’t realise until the last night we checked the aircon unit and found it was full of black mould 🤮 we didn’t use it again after seeing this. This hotel has not much of a city view, just a couple buildings and a busy intersection out the window which was super noisy.

I took the room on the highest floor (5th fl). The lift is up to 4th floor, and need to walk up the stairs to 5th floor. The staffs are very helpful. The location is near to The Bund and Yuyuan Garden. However the room which I stayed in has tobacco smell.

Really nice place to stay. The staff really kind. The place is really comfortable. Breakfast also really nice! The location is great!

This is my first time staying in Nanjing, walking may be too far because I don't know the distance, but walking to Yiyuan Park is very close. There are many small restaurants to choose from, but during the two nights I stayed, it was very difficult to deal with rain every day, which was the most difficult part of this trip, but overall it was not too bad to stay in this hotel, but the price I booked was not worth it to be unable to go anywhere because of the rain.
