This is a very good hotel. Except for the lobby which looks a bit messy, everything else is good. The hotel room is comfortable and the staff is very friendly. The only bad thing is that the hotel is centrally air-conditioned. The heater is on in winter, which makes me feel uncomfortable. Fortunately, the windows in the hotel room can be opened to let the cold wind blow in from the window. Other than that, everything is good. The hotel is close to the Bund and can walk to Nanjing Road and the Bund attractions. It is a quiet place in a busy area, very suitable for living.
这是一家很不错的酒店，除了大堂看下去有点杂乱，其他的一切都好。酒店房间住着舒服，工作人员也很亲切，唯一不好的是酒店是中央空调，冬天里都开着暖气，实在让我觉得难受，幸好酒店房间里窗户可以打开，让冷风从窗外吹入，除此以外一切都好. 酒店靠近外滩，步行就可到南京路，外滩景点，这里旺中带静，很适合居住.

The location of the hotel near the bund and nanjing buxing jie, less than 10 min walking distance. There are many restaurants around the hotel. Very convenient to have lunch or dinner. Breakfast is good, we like it, got western and Chinese food. The family room is just nice for 2 adults and one big kid. Just that the building is abit old. Free mineral water provided. Most of the hotel staffs are friendly and willing to help.

I was captivated by the art deco-style paintings, furniture, and fixtures; it felt like stepping into the world of Jeeves and Wooster or a Christie ****** novel. Such elegance seems overlooked by the new money in town, seeking overpriced, soulless skyscrapers. Yet, the service was exceptional, and breakfast was delightful. It was heartwarming to see concierges carrying luggage to taxis and bellhops offering elevator assistance, embodying the charm of the 1920s in every detail. The location was ideal, perfectly situated for the visa office and a fantastic Michelin-starred restaurant just across the street, hidden among the enchanting old streets of Shanghai.

Great breakfast. Good variety.
If I'm back in Shanghai, I'll love to stay here again.
One bad experience: the reception in charge lady, think she's a manager, more matured, asked if we wanted to upgrade the room. When we refused to pay, she said she can't upgrade us.
