Super 8 Hotel (Shanghai Pudong Airport Chenyang Road)

Horrible experience. Hotel was so dirty and smelly. I reqested to change the room even with some additional money as it was so smelly, but they refused. Never recommended.

It was good for a night before my flight. Near to it was a nice place that sell good shoes with good prices. However, I didn't like the way one of the staff communicated with me.

The room was okay and the bed was confortabile. In my opinion the problem was that the room smell of smoke and I didn’t like it honestly. The location is good if you need to stay near the airport PVG, they even offer a drop off service for free.

the room was very old style, window broken, no facilities and with a terrible smell of smoke. Bed not comfortable and a very noise place I could not sleep at all. I booked because I had anche early fly in the moorning and I would like to rest some hours before the fly, but it was no possibile. the only good thing is the shutle service to the airport but I saw, later, that other hotel have the same services.

Location close to the Pudong airport. Free shuttle bus every hour to the airport. Takes about 15min. Hotel room very basic, old. Ac noisy. No elevator, just dirty stairs to your floor.

I recently stayed at the Super 8 Hotel near Pudong Airport and, despite reading the negative reviews about the smell, I chose to stay there—thinking it couldn't be that bad. But the moment I walked into the building where the rooms are located, the odor hit me like a wall. It was overwhelming and unpleasant, and it only got worse inside the room. There was visible mold in several areas, and the entire space had a thick, humid, moldy stench that clung to everything. After just a short stay, even my clothes started to smell like it. The bathroom was no better—there was a strong, sweaty odor mixed with the scent of rust from the corroded fixtures. It was so bad that I couldn’t stand staying in the room for long and found myself spending most of my time outside to escape the smell. To top it off, the moldy atmosphere blocked my nostrils, making it hard to breathe properly. If you're considering staying here, don’t make the same mistake I did. This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had.
