Blast Off to Andy's Room! A Parent's Honest Take on Toy Story Hotel Shanghai Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐ (5 Stars - Excellent for Families, Pure Pixar Fun!) As a travel blogger constantly seeking unique family stays, our recent trip to Shanghai Disney Resort led us to the Toy Story Hotel. Buckle up, Space Rangers and Cowgirls, because this isn't just a hotel – it's an immersion into Andy's backyard brought to life! The Highs (What Absolutely Rocked): • Pixar Perfection from the Get-Go: From the moment you spot Woody & Buzz welcoming you at the entrance, the magic begins. The lobby is a vibrant explosion of Pixar colors, playful giant characters (like Rex!), and clever details straight from the movies. My kids (ages 5 & 8) were absolutely wide-eyed and bouncing. • Theme Park Immersion, Room & Halls: Forget subtle nods – this is full-throttle Toy Story. Hallways look like Andy's floorboards with iconic cloud wallpaper. Our Woody's Roundup Room was fantastic! Vibrant colors, cowboy-themed furnishings, and most excitingly, the pull-string talking lamp base! It felt like sleeping inside the movie. The "Andy's Boot" bathroom mirror was another adorable touch. • Kid-Centric Design: Everything feels designed for little explorers. The hotel layout is manageable and visually stimulating. The "Playroom" with games, slides, and character interactions was a lifesaver on rest days or pre-park mornings. The outdoor Slinky Dog shaped courtyard with its photo ops was a huge hit. • Magical Touches: Hearing the iconic theme songs played gently on the "Green Army Man" elevators never got old (for the kids... parents might hum it in their sleep!). Character "Wake-up Calls" featuring Buzz or Woody added a special surprise. • Convenience for Disney: The complimentary shuttle buses to Shanghai Disneyland and Disneytown were frequent, quick (~10 mins), and incredibly easy. It felt like having a dedicated rocket to the park! Early Park Entry was a significant perk, letting us hit key rides before crowds built. • Character Dining Delight: Breakfast at Luncheonette was solid. While not gourmet, the buffet offered decent variety. The real star? Character meets! Seeing Woody or Jessie stroll between tables for photos and autographs kicked off our park days perfectly. Kids adored the themed food presentations. Would We Stay Again? ABSOLUTELY! For the unique Pixar magic woven into every detail and the pure, unadulterated kid joy it delivered, Toy Story Hotel was a fantastic choice for our Disney Shanghai adventure. Great place close to Disneyland! It’s a bit far from the city center though.

The hotel is so clean and comfortable, the staff are always very friendly.

We are very grateful to the Toys Story Hotel team for providing a birthday cake for my daughter. She was very happy with the cake. 🥰🥰🥰 we all enjoyed the hotel very much. Surely will be back.

our staycation in toy story hotel is one of memorable experience. lucky on our first day, we get to meet n greet with the characters. worth the price

One of our greatest experiences at this hotel, Toy Story is our favourite Pixar movie and we enjoyed every corner of this hotel, the design and service were excellent and it's only 5 mins away from Disneyland with a free shuttle provided by the hotel every 10 mins from and to the land. Highly recommended.
