Himalayas Hotel

The hotel seems going to closed. No more managed by Jumeriah. Very quite and only a few guests. Breakfast is very standard and not many items.

Some of the receptionists are unable to understand English and give a suitable answer to basic questions (others are helpful). The restaurant offers excellent breakfast but is not recommendable at all for dinner and closes extremely early.

The location is very convenient if you plan to visit the fair which is just on the opposite side of the road. But the hotel is quite timeworn and really needs an important renovation. To be a Jumeraih hotel this is quite disappointing. The breakfast is fine but the coffee machine hasn’t the cappuccino or macchiato option, it just can make coffee than the waiter told me that if I want cappuccino I need to add milk by myself.

Just one plus - it is closed to expo center . If you don't go to expo center, my recommendation don't book this hotel . It is total **** .

Close to the exhibition, metro and many local restaurant and also a shopping center nearby with western breakfast.

Finally found a relatively quiet hotel near Century Park! Stayed in a Premier room (with windows onto the central circular courtyard) which was almost like a small suite. The biggest advantage we found over the neighbouring Kerry Hotel was that there was much less disruption of our sleep by neighbouring customers letting doors slam, when we were trying to get much-needed sleep after travelling. The room wasn't very modern, very much an older 'angular dark wood surfaces, no carpet' style, but was very clean and comfortable nonetheless and the AC worked just fine. Was encouraged to see other non-Chinese staying at the hotel. Breakfast was good, with a reasonable number of Western options. We initially found it quite difficult to get the extra pillows we requested, but our persistence paid off. The English comprehension level of the desk staff generally was only moderate, but the concierge and the lady running the excellent hotel gym understood us perfectly.
