I stay twice in this hostel. I recommend it. Clean, safe, near the Hongqiao airport. No issues. Staff talk thru translation app. Check in was smooth. Few stops away from Airport.

You need to get inside the parking lot to find it, but the security guide helped me. The reception girl is nice and with the translator she managed to help me. Good location close to the airport and 10 min walk from the metro

There is bus No. 71 at the door, which can be understood as a BRT (Bus Rapid Transit), but the speed is mediocre. The room has the advantages of good ventilation, natural wind is not only dependent on air conditioning internal circulation, there is a kitchen on the second floor, there is a vegetable market on the Chengjia Bridge side of the walk, vegetables are very cheap, and the three residential areas over there are full of life. No longer have to eat takeout that I am not used to. The food in Shanghai is sweet and salty. I ate carrots and tomatoes raw for a few days... Fortunately, there is a kitchen here. I feel that I will gain weight if I live here for a few days... You can hang clothes in the community next door (the direction of the Fengchao cabinet). There is a public clothes drying rack in the community 20 to 30 meters away. You can also hang clothes under the awning on the first floor of the youth hostel. The room is relatively clean, and the shower is not bad. The sheets and quilts are a little old, but I have a sleeping bag. Overall, the comfort is good. I have wandered around Shanghai (mainly in the southwest, northwest, south and Wujiaochang) and these youth hostels. The facilities of this one are the closest to meeting my life needs. However, there will be a certain amount of traffic noise near the main traffic road (the other side is slightly better). In fact, there is another Captain No. 5 that I haven't visited. The room was for six people and was full but the roommates were all very quiet. The bed has a charging port and is quite comfortable. The toilet and shower room are separate, no need to queue. There is a yard where you can watch the stars

It's the same as I imagined. I haven't stayed in a youth hostel for a long time. This time I came to Shanghai alone to experience it again. Although I stayed in a single room, the sound insulation was a bit poor. Someone in another room knocked on the door for a long time in the middle of the night. Fortunately, I brought earplugs. Except that people didn't communicate much, the conditions were actually much better than before.
The location is relatively convenient, not far from the subway, and there are many places to eat if you walk around.
