The inn is located in a location that is full of the atmosphere of Shanghai's old downtown. Once you find the inn's sign and pass through the gate, you will see the alleys and scenery of private houses that you’ve seen in pictures, which is sure to excite any traveler. The hotel was located in that area. The inn is retro but not inconvenient, and the view from the window of our lovely room made us feel like we were living there. The hotel owner was very kind and enthusiastic to help me. He gave me detailed information about recommended spots, which was very helpful. It’s located in a convenient area called People's Square（人民広场）, close to the station, and has very reasonable prices, and it is rare to find a hotel that is so full of atmosphere. I’d like to stay there again！

The hotel is a quaint, decorated old style but really nice. Rooms spacious and clean, bed super comfortable. The owner was so helpful, he went out of his way to show me how to get to places and even took me on his scooter to show me the bus stop. Its a 15min walk to the river, at the Bund.

The hotel was located near the subway station and concierge was helpful too. The hotel itself is a building that's over 100 years old. However, do note that the hotel is located inside the residential area and isn't easily spotted. Also, cleanliness could be improved as the room was a little dusty with paint peeling in the shower area. Amenities were lackluster as they only give you a comb and toothbrush.

Lovely stay ! The one thing that we regretted that we did not book the 2nd night before ( the hotel is full booked ). Our first impression is that the room is a bit small but there are much smaller in another hotel ( for the smae price). The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. Surrounded by the small local houses, it's quite interesting to see how a part of Shanghai's people are. The night is quite and we slept well. The hotel is near the Bund and the pedestrian street. Many local foods for good price around. Would recommend to friends.

The hotel is clean, and the owner is very nice and friendly. Only one thing about this hotel that is a bit inconvenient is that it’s located in the small alley. The nearby area has Lawson mart, restaurants, and Raffle mall. Metro is accessible from Raffle mall.

I spent a lovely 2 nights at this hotel which is in a fantastic location to see the sights of Shanghai, most of which are in walking distance. The hotel itself is very homely, the owner makes you feel very welcome & he provided me with a very useful map of the area. The room was very clean, comfortable & quiet - perfect for my needs. I’d highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in central Shanghai.

The boss was very enthusiastic and helped me a lot. The accommodation was very comfortable. The building in Shanghai is very old and beautiful. It is close to the scenic spots and it is very convenient to walk. The price/performance ratio is very high. I highly recommend and will come again👍👍
