Yitel Premium (Shanghai Wujiaochang Metro Station)

Service: The staff could not communicate in English. Room: I stayed in a room without a window. The room was not spacious, and the lighting was orange, making it dim and not bright enough. The room layout was strange, with very little space between the end of the bed and the wall, making it difficult to walk. There was no refrigerator in the room. The walls were not soundproof at all. I stayed for 3 nights — on the second night, I could hear people talking loudly around midnight, and the sound of doors slamming could be heard frequently. On the third night, around 2 a.m., the phone rang three times, and when I picked up, it was an automated voice speaking Chinese, which I couldn’t understand. It woke me up and I couldn’t fall back asleep. Overall, the stay was uncomfortable — I couldn’t sleep well because there was constant noise and the walls did not block sound at all. Location: The hotel is located inside a commercial building, with the front desk on the 6th floor and my room on the 7th floor. The location is great — close to the metro station and surrounded by four large shopping malls, as well as plenty of restaurants both inside the malls and near the metro.

Very nice hotel, it is easy to find the hotel. One of the staff named xiaopeng really helpful and informative. It's really sanitize properly. Definitely will come back here

The hotel staff was friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Some furniture showed visible wear and tear, with noticeable scratches. The breakfast selection was underwhelming, with soggy cereal, though the vibrant ambiance added a lively touch

Staff is very friendly and helpful but it is though to communicate when they can't speak english or other languages (-1 stars for hotel management). Nevertheless they use translator apps and are glad to help anyway they can. The fitness is very small and can accomodate max 2 ppl (-1,5 stars). Breakfast area is ok, choice is sufficient and includes bost eastern and western cuisine. Not a lot a variation though (-0,5stars) - since I eat everything thats not a problem but if you are picky you might be unlucky to not like the cuisine.

The Yitel Premier Wujiaochang is a very local hotel. The staff do not seem to understand English and I did not see any non-Chinese guests there during my one week stay. The hotel occupies a few floors within a commercial building, so lifts can get crowded during office peak hours. The interior is dated, and facilities are old. The TV in my room couldn't work, and the flush got stuck. To be fair though, the staff did arrive promptly to help fix things. Also, beds are firm, the shower is decent and breakfast is acceptable. In a nutshell, the premier part applies only to the location. It is value for money but only if you want to stay near Wujiaochang.

My daughter and I were here on Aug 13 and 14. The stay was absolutely wonderful! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, make us feel right at home. Thanks Mr. Junhao feng and Ms. Meiqi Cui for exceptional service! The location is incredibly convenient, right next to Wujiaochang shopping area with all kinds of restaurant nearby. The room size is decent and clean with everything we need. I will definitely recommend to friends and come back. Thank you
