UrCove by Hyatt Shanghai Pudong East

Room: Executive Twin Room (Upgraded) We had a really pleasant stay at UrCove by Hyatt Shanghai Pudong East during our trip to Shanghai. From the moment we arrived, the front desk was warm, helpful, and welcoming. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to an Executive Room by the front desk (a young Chinese guy at the front desk upgraded us and showed us the room), a generous gesture that really set the tone for our stay after a long flight. Manager Peter stood out with his amazing support. He assisted us with food delivery orders, helped us set up *******, and made sure our needs were met throughout the stay. He also helped us set up our WeChat by scanning our QR Code so we could register! His help and dedication made a big difference. A day before our check-out, the young Chinese front desk staff member (wish we caught his name!) was also extremely helpful throughout our stay, he patiently answered many of our questions during the stay and gave us a free late check-out upon request, he scheduled an airport drop-off for us too, which made our final day much more relaxed and stress-free. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a bathtub, smart toilet, washing machine, microwave, and an induction cooker. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The surrounding area of the hotel was full of greenery and trees, creating a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The room had a very nice view. The room service was responsive, helpful, and respectful, they came in at the times we requested, which we really appreciated. We also received lots of bottled water every day, along with all the usual room service essentials. Lots of the thanks to the room service. Extra perks: • Airport pickup and drop-off to/from Pudong International Airport • Smart toilet • Free self-laundry • Relaxing hotel environment --- A few minor downsides: The hotel is located a bit far from downtown (e.g., The Bund), and the nearest metro station (Middle Chuangxin Road) takes some time to reach. You can take taxis affordably to the metro station, but if using the metro, try to leave early as it’s about a ~40-minute ride back from downtown, and trains stop running late at night (around 11:30 pm for a lot of the lines, and some at 11:00 pm during work days). There are no nearby convenience stores, so it’s smart to either order what you need online or stock up on snacks, drinks, and groceries before returning to the hotel. --- Overall, this hotel was a wonderful choice. We felt cared for, relaxed, and well-served throughout our stay. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai, whether you're a solo traveler or coming with family. First of all, I want to thank Manager Peter for upgrading our room to Executive Room. It gave us an excellent stay and experience. He was very helpful considering he's the only one who can speak English. He even helped us with our Taobao orders, online food cravings, etc. Even when he's on leave, the other receptionist was calling him and let him talk to us in English. He didn't have to do that since it's late at night but still, we appreciate it. Pros: 1. The Executive room was huge. 2. Variety of breakfast at the hotel and the One Step Restaurant that serve western food. 3. You can do your laundry for free. 4. Make-up room service was consistent and gave us generous amount of water bottles. 5. The whole vibe of the hotel was light and positive. 6. Smart toilet. 7. The hotel area was huge and full of trees, we didn't mind staying at the hotel for a whole day because of how relqxing it was. 8. With fresh towels everyday and the room jas a dyson hairdryer. Cons: 1. Only one person can communicate in straight english but app translate works. 2. The location was a bit far from the nearest MRT station but since the fare was cheap, we didn't mind at all. 3. Other than the restaurant, there is no convenience store nearby so buying food might be a struggle. Make sure you buy food/snacks before going back at the hotel. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and will definitely recommend the hotel because of the service and the amenities. Thank you for the upgrade and youe service, Peter. 😊

The hotel located 20 min from Disney and about 25 minutes from airport. The room we booked provided us with free pick up service as well as free transfer to Disneyland. Also since I was with my mom who is a senior I chose carefully western breakfast(7:30-10:00), so this hotel was the best option. There is a pool in the hotel with hot bath outside. (Works from 9 am) We relaxed with my mom after a long flight and a day at Disneyland. Highly recommend this hotel for the price and for the service. Many thanks to Peter, the manager, who provided us with best service. He was very hospitable and spoke English very well so we didn’t even needed to translate everything in the app. Also want to note the night manager who worked in the being of 26th of May 2025(around 23:00) cause we didn’t ate at the Disneyland and he helped us to order the delivery of dumplings to the room, which by the way was delivered by the robot. On the territory there is a petite old garden(from 9am) in which you can enjoy a reading if you know Chinese(the are a lot of books and magazines) or just drink coffee and watch the fish cause the in the garden there is a coffee shop. My mom and I was very satisfied with the stay.

There is only one coach timing to and from Disney land. It’s 7am in the morning and 10.10pm at night. As the coach has to drop other passengers first, by the time u reach back the hotel it’s close to 11pm. Other than that, we enjoyed the convenience of having washing done in the room, and breakfast and supper provided as part of the room rate. Size of room is good too. They even has an onsen by the swimming pool. There is a great one step cafe just next to the hotel. Beautiful interiors

We usually visit their other hotels of the hotel,We have been to Tianjin,Cangzhou and Shanghai Even when they were tired they helped us best as they can this is the most cleanest and the best hotel ive been too.If your visiting any city with this hotel you must visit. And the customer service is the BEST!And their breakfast is the Best!
