The hotel was really nice though it was a bit far from the metro. It was clean and the bed was comfy. My only concern was the staff folded the edge of the front page of my passport when he tried to make copies and wasn't sorry about it. It could be an accident but still hotel staff should be aware how sensitive the bio-page of some passports are. Any crease, clip or fold can be considered damaged and useless.

The hotel looks very clean and modern and certainly well looked after and the service from the staff was mostly excellent and friendly. The rooms themselves were relatively spacious and cleaned well with working AC! They seem to be a little better at getting guests to adhere to the "no smoking in the room" rule so this was the first hotel in china where I didn't smell smoke every night (even as a smoker myself I don't appreciate it wafting into my room all the time). However I had to deduct a star for two reasons - 1, the WiFi is for china mobiles only (IE if you didn't bother getting a local number then no WiFi for you). This was a bit shocking to me given the scale of the hotel (all other hotels and even hostels I've stayed at in china were able to provide wifi...) Secondly - there was an extremely strong sewage smell coming up from the drain in my toilet. It was fine with the door closed but I had to remember to open a window else it could permeate the room. I feel like a drain cover or something could have solved the issue?
