It was a lovely family retreat. The location was great - close to the parking lot (¥20 per night), dining, and yet quite serene.
The hotel was absolutely enchanting. It felt like a night at the museum. Definitely a go.

What and amazing find in Zhujiajiao ! The location is fantastic just at the edge of the ancient town which can be walked to in about 10 minutes along a small canal side path. The hotel itself is incredible with amazin antiques and carvings everywhere. There was always something to see in each room. Some parts of it are around 300 years old. The location and hotel are incredibly picturesque so I can highly recommend!

What a delightful surprise when we arrived at this hotel! The host was incredibly welcoming and gave us a tour of the buildings, which are over 375 years old. With a tasteful collection of antiques throughout, the space exudes elegance, charm, and a sense of calm—creating the perfect atmosphere to savor the moments we have here. I highly recommend this place to anyone. For me, I am definitely will come back again.

I booked this hotel attracted by its antic and charming look and I was not disappointed. The location is very close in walking distance to Metro and about 7 minutes walk by the river to all attractions of the town. I will definitely stay in the same place on my next trip.

The property is beautiful--in an old mansion, with comfortable, modern amenities of aircon, bathroom, hot water, toiletries, etc. We had the smallest two-bed room, next to their spectacular ceiling carving. The beds and bedding were excellent, w/great pillows. It was quiet for sleeping and relaxing. The 'back door' leads into a lane going directly to the old town, past several ancient moon bridges, w/nearby cafes, dining, & photo spots. Breakfast is ample, in Chinese style--we ate porridge, pickles, eggs, fresh fruit, etc. It's a good restaurant at night, w/a lovely dining room or private dining rooms, too. Although staff does not speak much English, their service was attentive and helpful, carrying our bags upstairs, etc. They were patient with our Chinese--we are not fluent Chinese speakers! Perfect location if taking the metro from/to Shanghai.

We had an incredible stay here! The staff was lovely and helpful even if they do not speak English.
The room was beautiful, the traditional style was fantastic, we felt great and relaxed.

Wonderful hotel in Zhujiajiao. The hotel was very old yet very well maintained. The room was spotless and the hosts were delightful. I will definitely be returning to this hotel in the future!

We had a great stay in this Hotel. Service and rooms are excellent; also surroundings in Hotel. The Hotel is only a few minutes away from center of the old town. You will get breakfast there; if you like Chinese breakfast; I’m sure that you will like it. It was not really us
