Atour Hotel (Shanghai New International Expo Center Maglev Station)

The location is great for early flights but please be warned that you need to exit on exit number 17 and there is a lift there. Do not exit anywhere else otherwise you will find yourself struggling on the road as did I in the beginning . The gym is in a separate building. It has good weights and a treadmill. The service was attentive when sought it as though they needed to be given problems to solve. In a good way they are wonderful staff, the toilet was old when compared to other branches so understandable that it could look over used however I discovered too much mould on the tile grout which could be easily cleaned and spruced up with mould cleaner or some kind of bleach. If that was done it would have made the showers more comfortable rather than seeing lines of mould everywhere I was told that an attempt was made to clean but clearly it was not as much effort as one would do for their own home. The towels need to be replaced. they are ready to be used for other purposes now. I think that the head office needs to invest in keeping up appearances.  the front desk said that the hotel is older than other ones in the chain , I have so far used four of their locations (this was most expensive but lacked the feeling from others due to the above mentioned) also because I am a foreigner I am unable to register as a member and therefore I’m not able to benefit from any membership benefits it is better to consider foreigners without the Chinese phone numbers in future. For what I require the nights and the location and my flight the next day this hotel if the same requirements apply I will still rebook although I hope my suggestions are taken into consideration. thank you

We arrived late at night and were disappointed by the cold reception we received from the manager on duty. Unlike the warm and thoughtful service we've come to expect from Atour, he offered no smile, no kind words, and little explanation throughout the check-in process. He simply took our passports, processed the booking, and handed us our room cards. We had to ask about breakfast ourselves, and his responses were curt. We also experienced an issue with an overcharge from a taxi driver and sought help, but were told bluntly that nothing could be done since it was a hail ride—again, without any empathy or attempt to assist further. Perhaps he was having a bad day, but as a manager representing the Atour brand, we expected a higher level of professionalism and care. Thankfully, the staff in the morning were much friendlier and more in line with the excellent Atour service we’ve experienced at other locations. The hotel’s proximity to the Maglev station (less than a 10-minute walk) is a definite plus, and while the facilities were clean, they felt more basic compared to other Atour branches we've stayed at.

The hotel is located near Longyang Road Station (MAGLEV Fastest train) and subway. Though the building looks old but all the facilities inside the room and public areas are all renovated with modern design. The best was the hotel staff members who were very kind and friednly.

Spacious room, very comfortable pillows, and a great breakfast selection. Convenient location near the Maglev station. Highly recommended!

Never book the executive suite in this hotel! The architecture plan has put those rooms to the insight without proper lighting. There is only a dark shaft which leads to the window. One large room with seating arrangement has no window at all. A lot of dead space!!! We changed rooms but didn’t receive the difference in money back, although it was a cheaper and smaller room.

There were a few drain flies noted in the bathroom and room. Also saw a black spot on one of the tiles. Service is not great especially the guy at night. Didn’t talk much and not very helpful. No smiles. The girls were nice but they were playing with phones a lot. Great location though.
