Shanghai is an attractive city for travelers, but it was especially inconvenient because Alipay was limited. After taking a taxi, Alipay was not available due to roaming, which was very inconvenient, but Alex of Yi Hotel solved the problem by paying with his Alipay. He left a deep impression on our family with his unexpected huge kindness.
Except for smoking on the street, Shanghai will be remembered for its delicious food, sincere kindness, and honest and sincere people.
Once again, thank you to Alex and the hotel staff.

I stayed in a double bed room without a window and was genuinely impressed. Despite the lack of natural light, the room was clean, well-equipped, and surprisingly quiet—great for a restful sleep after a day exploring Shanghai. The bed was firm and comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and amenities like the shower and toiletries were high-quality for this price range.
The hotel’s location is unbeatable—just a few minutes’ walk to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, People’s Square, and several metro lines. Plenty of shops, restaurants, and attractions are right around the corner.
Staff were helpful and check-in was smooth even for a non-Chinese speaker. For the price, convenience, and comfort, I’d absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended for travelers looking for a practical base in central Shangh
