Campanile Hotel (Shanghai Railway Station, People's Square) Reviews

All in all, my experience was really good. Their customer service is awesome. They go above and beyond for their customers and I loved that about them. But there was this bad smell in the room, and it was a bit discomforting. Their towels are also old and are not inviting to use.

The hotel was nice, not very far from the center and the railway station. It was good that unlike most Chinese hotels their bathroom had a normal door and walls and not glass and curtains

Good location, easy to access and move around, nicely set next to the river.

The overall stay was great. The hotel was clean, and it was convenient to travel around. Metro station was near , and it is suitable to use metro late night.

I booked this hotel because of the high reviews but was disappointed. The laundry room worked terribly with many people wanting to use it which led to all machines breaking, the building is clearly not well maintained with rust stains throughout the bathroom. Additionally, the location is a little inconvenient. Would not recommend.

I am very grateful for the hotel’s excellent service. One of the staff members has been helping me to deliver a lost item which has required a significant amount of patience. Many other hotels would have given up. I truly appreciate the help!

Room is well arranged to make the best of the limited space for a hotel near the city centre. Bath room is nice and clean, relatively spacious, with thick, absorbing towels and proper shampoo and shower gel. Breakfast was nice, with a nice mix of Chinese and French breakfast to suit all tastes, and a proper coffee machine that always works. There are two metro stations within 10-minutes walk from the hotel and one can also walk to the Bund (~30 minutes in my case) along the Suzhou river, on well maintained walkway.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Everything went smoothly and nicely. Thanks.

I have stayed in this hotel many times. I find its location to be very strategic when traveling by train and its also near many live music venues. Breakfast is very good though a bit more oriented to Chinese cuisine. Amenities could be better but all the basics are provided. People are helpful and the place is clean

The room was very small. The location was a little far for the matro station. Breakfast was good. Clean and polite personal. The hotels need to undertake some restoration. Overall ok.
