Good overall, location excellent, and staff is helpful. Some issues to be noted: the toilet/shower room does not close/lock, and there is not much privacy despite the separation into rooms (there is a window connecting both rooms, so one can see through). Also the central AC does not work and the room relies on (very loud) portable AC units. Despite the settings being similar to a serviced apartment with kitchen, stove etc, there is no any utensil provided, so unless you travel with your own pans, the use is limited :-) I found the location strategically excellent with direct walkable access to the Bund, Nanjing road, People Square, the Suzhou river and its scenic bridges, renovated warehouse/galleries just nearby, and the more popular areas up north around Sichuan road all easily accessible. The immediate surroundings itself is very quiet.
