Blossom Manoir Lujiazui... it definitely left a lasting impression on me during my stay. Stepping into that courtyard felt like stepping back in time, a little oasis tucked away amidst the modern buzz of Lujiazui. The architecture, that oriental feel with the connecting corridors, was so different from the usual towering hotels you find in that area – it had a real character to it.
The welcome I received was genuinely warm. There was someone right there to help with my bag, and the check-in process was smooth, accompanied by a much-appreciated bottle of home-brew tea. It was a lovely touch that made me feel instantly at ease. And the old house tour? Definitely take them up on that if you have the time! It really brought the history of the place to life and gave context to the unique design.
My room was a comfortable haven. I remember being pleasantly surprised by the selection in the mini-bar – it went beyond the usual standard offerings. And yes, the bed was incredibly comfortable; I slept like a log after a long day of exploring Shanghai, probably with the help of "Goodnight" soup treat offered for turndown service.
I did have breakfast at their restaurant one morning. It was a decent spread with a mix of Western and Chinese options. While it wasn't the most extravagant buffet I've ever seen, the quality was extremely good, and the setting was pleasant.
I have been to many hotels/resorts, I can say the hospitality at this place is what keeps me coming back and recommend the place to all my friends. Thank you Francis, Irvin and Stephen and everyone for taking care of me, I truly felt at home here.
