Property Description
The Blossom Manoir · Orient Treasury, located in the heart of Lujiazui, Pudong, Shanghai, is a "century-old modern Republican-era mansion" that serves as a hidden gem in the bustling city. This impeccably preserved historical architecture, originally designed by a British architect, blends Western elements with distinctive Shanghai-style aesthetics. Once the private residence of Pudong's "wealthiest tycoon," it was completed in the early 1930s after years of construction and witnessed Shanghai's golden era of "comprador culture" and its reputation as the "Oriental Paris" during the 1930s-1940s. The hotel features a rare Shanghai-inspired courtyard structure comprising a main building, annex, central courtyard, and surrounding verandas. Its 17 guest rooms, distributed across the main and annex buildings, exude the luxurious ambiance of an aristocratic estate while showcasing the eclectic elegance of Shanghai's East-meets-West heritage. Unique amenities include a literary lounge, VIP reception hall, tea house, Taizhou-style private dining, and a bespoke bar. All displayed artworks and paintings are original pieces by renowned contemporary artists. Complemented by regular "Treasury Art Exhibitions," the property offers guests not just accommodation but an immersive artistic experience. Amidst the vibrancy of Shanghai's waterfront, this landmark invites travelers to witness the century-old transformations and modern grandeur of the "City of Eternal Blossoms."

The hotel environment is extremely clean, and the whole atmosphere is very Shanghai-style. The service is excellent, especially from the staff member IDA. Blossom Manoir Lujiazui... it definitely left a lasting impression on me during my stay. Stepping into that courtyard felt like stepping back in time, a little oasis tucked away amidst the modern buzz of Lujiazui. The architecture, that oriental feel with the connecting corridors, was so different from the usual towering hotels you find in that area – it had a real character to it. The welcome I received was genuinely warm. There was someone right there to help with my bag, and the check-in process was smooth, accompanied by a much-appreciated bottle of home-brew tea. It was a lovely touch that made me feel instantly at ease. And the old house tour? Definitely take them up on that if you have the time! It really brought the history of the place to life and gave context to the unique design. My room was a comfortable haven. I remember being pleasantly surprised by the selection in the mini-bar – it went beyond the usual standard offerings. And yes, the bed was incredibly comfortable; I slept like a log after a long day of exploring Shanghai, probably with the help of "Goodnight" soup treat offered for turndown service. I did have breakfast at their restaurant one morning. It was a decent spread with a mix of Western and Chinese options. While it wasn't the most extravagant buffet I've ever seen, the quality was extremely good, and the setting was pleasant. I have been to many hotels/resorts, I can say the hospitality at this place is what keeps me coming back and recommend the place to all my friends. Thank you Francis, Irvin and Stephen and everyone for taking care of me, I truly felt at home here.

Alice From the moment we entered the hotel, the stunning scenery captivated us. The building emanated a subtle botanical fragrance, transporting us back to the bustling history of a Shanghai mansion. The architecture, the halls, and the rooms all exuded a refined, timeless charm. The hotel staff were incredibly attentive and attentive, frequently offering us Wang Dechuan cold-brewed tea to soothe our tiredness. For a late-night snack, they even served us a delicious rock sugar and black fungus sweet soup. The spacious, super-comfortable bed provided a restful night's sleep. The morning's breathtaking scenery, the atmosphere, and the stunning breakfast made us feel right at home.

This Republican-era mansion has a story and atmosphere, a quiet environment, and beautiful rooms. Kiana's attentive service made you feel right at home. The thoughtful little cards, beautiful flowers, and delicious fruit plates made you feel like you were at home. I experienced the ancient art of incense. Overall, the stay was wonderful. I'll definitely go back next time.
