Hilton Shanghai City Center

Large, clean room and good service. Dyson hairdryer in the room was a nice touch ☺️

-Location: 10/10 (5-7mins walk to JiangSu Station) -Room: 10/10 (mine was on the 9th floor with city view) -Service incl doorman: 10/10 (especially front desk and room service was very helpful, very polite and very nice) -Cleanliness: 10/10 (thanks to the cleaning lady) -Hotel Bar on Lobby floor named Vinism 10/10 with Sisha (recommended) -and hotel staff does speak English ＜3

This is a new hilton hotel with extremely large size rooms. The room is clean and well organized. I feel so comfortable to live there. The hotel is only 30mins away from hongqiao airport and 40mins away from Disney. And it is near the yongkang road, yuyuan road  and the busy area. The location is so great.

Facilities were decent but unfortunately i was caught in a lift breakdown. (Not that it is anyone fault) Staff reacted promptly but the service recovery could be better

It’s relatively new hotel. Quite small room comparing to most of the international chain hotels in Shanghai. The shower room tiles quality was bad and hurt my feet. Italian restaurant serves good food!

Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights Check in, was told to wait in the lobby because the room was being cleaned. We were unable to check in till after 7.30pm. Housekeeping, left the hotel in the morning and came back around 5pm, the room was not cleaned. Called the service line, no apologies, simply said, oh, we will send someone to clean it now. We had to change the plan and leave the room so they can clean. Deposit, we noticed they deducted 500rmb from the deposit after we left the hotel. But we didn’t consume anything in the room, nor use any other services in the hotel. Called the hotel to enquire. A few days later, called again. They showed me a receipt from the restaurant in the hotel, it has a handwritten room number on the receipt. “Our room number”! But we were having dinner at a different restaurant in a different suburb at the same time. I sent them our dinner payment receipt with time/ date stamp right away. And the lady said she will come back to me, but never did, even after I followed up. Had to call again, to repeat the whole process. This time, they even asked me to approve we didn’t go to their resultant! As they couldn’t figure out what went wrong. We showed them where we were at the first instant. We finally received our refund 20 days later, After many follow ups. The whole experience is shocking, not what you would expect from any businesses. Poor management, and business culture. A company not in hospitality industry would have more customer centric awareness. Doesn’t know how to listen, always excuses not solutions, didn’t do what they committed, no updates if you don’t follow up. Still don’t understand how someone can just walk into their restaurant, had dinner and charged a random room. Will not stay in any hotels under Hilton, it’s not worth the trouble.
