Nice location with shops and restaurants nearby. Very close to Old Temple and Yu Yuan Area and the Bund. Public Transportation is within a 10-15 minute walk. The staff is very nice, assisting with bringing luggage up the stairs because there is no elevator. Room is equipped with virtual assistant Xiao Du so lights can be voice controlled. They also helped us store our luggage for the day after we checked out.

The room is closely located to the boat terminals and the bund (walking distance). Very convenient! Nice and modern room, service, facilities. However, there was no gym even though it was in the property description. I recommend this place.

My experience was a great one, the room is clean and a bit spacious, the bathroom, the TV... everything works smoothly and the bed is very comfortable, also the location is very convenient to move around because it's close to places such as the bund and also the metro is close by, but the best thing about this hotel is the staff, very friendly and helpful assisted me whatever I needed.

Competitive price, modern room and good location, Yu garden in walking distance. Friendly staff especially the cleaning team works very well. AC unit does need Eco powered off for good use.

The location is central, the rooms were clean with great A/C. Staff was friendly. I can recommend this place when staying in Shanghai.

We booked here thinking it would be close to the Bund and downtown. It quite was except a 20min walk after a whole day was quite a hassle. If you book here, recommend taking a bus around. The service was okay, but even the deluxe room was way too small. It only could contain 2ppl and the AC was a bit too slow. It could cool down the room in about an hour. But the price was affordable to be close to the downtown.

I liked the hotel, the staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfy plus the location is convenient to travel to places like the bund and nice spots, only thing I didn't like was I didn't stay longer because I had to travel, and I had a problem fixing the password on my suitcase but the staff helped so I appreciated it, next time I'm in Shanghai I'll definitely visit it for sure.

Shangyun Platine Hotel was mid ash — plain and simple. Great location, but everything else flopped. Cleanliness felt rushed, service was passive at best, and the so-called amenities? Basically nonexistent. It sells the illusion of luxury but delivers on vibes alone. Functional if you’re desperate, forgettable if you’ve got options.
