My second time at Lemon Hotel! I was impressed with how great yet affordable it was, so I came back. The location is just less than a minute’s walk from Changshu Station (metro) exit No.7, the staff were nice and friendly and informative, the bed was so comfortable that I didn’t want to leave. I would come back here again if I ever return to Shanghai.

More than worth the price especially considering the location. In terms of rooms what you see is what you get. I didn't ask for many services but the staff seemed extremely nice and respectful, I don't doubt they'd do the best they can. The only concern is thin walls so it's easy to hear others and for others to hear you but considering the price and location I'm surprised that's the only complaint. Surprising thing to say but the toilets are also amazing, nice view, seat heating, bidet, often cleaned and replenished toilet paper, etc etc. Very nice I'll definitely come here next time I'm in Shanghai.

No option to attach video, which would illustrate perfectly what could happen to you if you book at this property. This place misleads you by calling itself a "hotel" instead of what it actually is a hostel. It abuses paying customer peaceful habitation by allowing drunk people vomiting their intestines out in spasmatic outbursts all night long in communal bathroom used by all echoing into the guest room disturbing all night. This all night disturbance was reported to police who did nothing about it,although it was a disturbance in the public area, because a foreigner reported and drunkard was Chinese woman.I demanded my money back from hostel, they refused.Their staff were rude, especially tall shift manager who is a passive-aggressive, arrogant guy, who should not be working in hospitality, and who let the drunkard in although he had right to refuse check in as she arrived drunk like a bottle.I reported to Trip.com, biased customer service did exactly the same: dismissed my complaint saying "We contacted hotel and they said that the person who vomited was also the guest stay in hotel but no a stranger and vomit is a normal physiological phenomena, so they had no right to kick out the guest." This "normal physiological phenomenon" was done extremely loudly in public space of hostel where all guests go and could be heard in every room because there is no soundproofing. The bestial, spasmatic vomiting by the drunkard is a disturbance (it was recorded on a video, presented to Trip.com)! It was not done in private bathroom, but in public bathroom of hostel. It lasted all night, disturbing all.I have attached screenshot of review that proves bestial drunkards come to vomit overnight regularly at hostel, you can see from review of guest that she had the same experience. This night disturbance happened on 17th floor, but a day earlier I was disturbed all night with the same noise by a drunkard VOMITING on 18th floor where I stayed in a room without heating. They moved me to 17th floor due to room not having heating, next night the same thig happened on 17th floor DRUNKEN SPASMATIC VOMITING FROM WHICH I COULD NOT SLEEP. IF THIS IS NOT DISTURBANCE,WHAT IS?!Meaning that hostel continuously accepts drunks to do this on regular basis, but did not inform of such services:"we accept all drunks of Shanghai, all loud, spasmatic vomiting drunks are welcome to disturb peaceful guests all night long, every night"!The hostel sign "do not make loud noises" is a farse because if you do "normal physiological phenomena" in public, no matter how noisy that is, it is allowed. The hostel staff made fun of me when I complained about room with no heating cold air gushing through central air con into room although winter (I had to plug the vent with tissue);when I noted of somebody smoking in the building I could clearly smell the stench of cigarette smoke (walls of hostel staircase are with black stains from cigarette buts being pressed against walls, people are smoking regularly);a woman was smoking e-cigarette in lobby in front of reception, only when I pointed to general manager she told her to stop smoking;when I indicated broken things in bathroom.Hostel is ran by a bunch of 20-year-olds who know nothing about hospitality, are very rude and verbally insulted me.I saw a cleaning lady, after another guest used shower, she just attached the sticker that the shower was cleaned when she actually never cleaned it but they again called me a liar. They turn off the lights on 17th/19th floors, the hot water from machine is hard to get,but on 18th floor, because reception is there, lights are always on.In female shower room, partitions between showers have gaps, so NO PRIVACY! You can see through gap everything in the shower next to you.The hostel is not safe, because I saw two delivery men roaming 17th floor although it is a restricted area accessible only by keycard.Disgusting

Overall is good, friendly staff and near to subway. Room was smaller than expected, but enough for 1 person. Sound proof not good, I can ever hear my neighbour switching on and off her switch. Bathrooms and toilet cleanliness were good. The cleaners cleaned the space almost every after use

Love the location, very accessible to all the major city walk spots that I’d like to have a stroll in Shanghai. Service staffs were attentive & helpful. The only drawback is the room sound insulation effect was average. Other than that, everything was perfect!

the view is so nice, clean and close to train station, Aunfu rd. and Wukang rd. close to big 7-11 and not far from lowson and family mart. The room so small not good to choose upper bed, lil bit too high and hard to go up and down anyway i don’t think it’s bad. i got the room close to WC and shower room lil bit annoying from water pump or something. i really hate the ground floor of the building. It's a steep staircase of about 10 steps. It's very difficult with big luggage. But the receptions are nice they can speak ENG and help anything i asked. i will back to stay there, if i go to shanghai again.
