Nostalgia S Hotel (Shanghai Railway Station Suzhou River)

Every single staff we've interacted with was super friendly and makes us feel very welcomed! We arrived before check in and although the room wasn't ready, they allowed us to do laundry first and very kindly explained how intimates and socks have to be washed separately with detergent provided in our room and then hung on heated drying racks in the washroom. One staff helped us with our luggage to the room and brought us through the amenities like how there's Xiaodu and how to turn on the shower etc. You can request for additional items from the front desk too (see last photo). Every night between 9pm to 11pm the hotel provides porridge for supper and I got it one night, it was quite yummy too The room smelled like baby powder when we entered and I really liked that! Room was also spacious considering we had 3 large luggage. Hotel location was not bad - 10-15min drive away from Nanjing Street and The Bund. There's also a small mall within a 5min walk. There's also a small wet market next to the hotel, with some snack stalls too - we grabbed a sandwich there the morning before our flight and it was quite delicious. Right opposite the hotel there are a few subway exits so that's really convenient too. Most of the time we Didi and it's easy to get in and out of cars too. Don't have to worry about oncoming traffic when alighting. Overall, we all enjoyed the stay here, highly recommend!

The location is very strategic, just get off from HanZhongLu metro (exit2 or 3) and the hotel is just opposite. Receptionists are ready to help for all sorts of requests. Hotel breakfast was good too 👍 will definitely come back again

If you are reading reviews and you are not sure whether to book this hotel, this is the sign to book it! This is a hidden gem of a hotel. Everything is perfect. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Smart toilet with Bidet. Free snacks, chinese restaurant on lobby is also good, order the beef with oyster sauce. Location is perfect as it is near everywhere. The train station lines 1, 12 and 13 is just literally across the street. If you are thinking of booking at nanjing road don't. Too crowded. This is the perfect location. You can't find nostalgia S hote at google maps or amap. On Amap its called Time Walk S Hotel (Shanghai Railway) / You can also use that when you book on didi or just paste the chinese name of hotel or chinese address on the trip.com app. Only downside is that there is no 24/7 convenience store within the vicinity. But no worries. This is the perfect hotel. Give all the staff a raise or a bonus, they always serve us with a smile.

It was a great base for exploring Shanghai. Everyone was very accommodating and helpful, they will even do the laundry for you! There was a slight misunderstanding as they only use a translator to communicate but not really a big issue. The location is also a few steps away from the metro. Would recommend to anyone having a trip to Shanghai!

Its at the center side which is less tourist and crowd, one stop to shanghai railway station and xintiandi. Hotel service is the top among the hotels we have been stay, especially free laundry. 24 hours reception counter. Free breakfast and supper everyday. Staffs are very heart warming and friendly. The smaller room type are big enough for 2 pax. I like the shower area and wc area cubicle concept which is separate from each other. The bed and the wc are the things that i loved the most, super comfy. Definitely will come back to this hotel in future if i travel to shanghai.
