When I checked in, Starry was very kind. I asked for a late checkout and she gave it to me free of charge. I was also upgraded room free of charge which was very nice. I wasn’t overly sure on the amenities the hotel had (pool etc). The room was very clean with a lovely large bed. Good wifi, big TV, water in room, optional mini bar. I ordered some room service for lunch and it was very nice and came within a good time. All staff were very kind. I had a takeout delivered to the hotel and someone (I didn’t get her name) was very kind and helped me on her own phone to lick it up as I didn’t know how to do it. Would definitely stay again!

What we love - its central location, cleanliness, a lot of food choices during breakfast buffet, heated pool. We just had some concerns during booking and check in, it was not indicated that our room has no windows but the reception just gave us this room without windows. Due to winter, temperature control cannot be changed so it tends to be very warm.

The location of the hotel is excellent, right around the corner from Nanjing Road and the central shopping area where you can walk down and hit the Bund or Wai Tan. I got upgraded to a suite, and it was lovely, very clean with a very comfortable bed. I used the gym as well, which is very important for me, they have a fantastic gym, with lots of space and new facilities! It is a well-run, very comfortable hotel, worth the stay.

Our stay was pleasant and most of the staff were very helpful & friendly. They will greet us whenever we walked pass. Too bad we did not have the chance to enjoy the facilities and dine in the hotel. One feedback I had was during our check-in day on 28 Feb 2024. We were not sure if we had arrived at the right hotel as we do not know the hotel's Chinese name. It was raining and I wanted to alight & make a quick check with an older porter at the hotel entrance/drop-off point. When I asked the older porter ”这里是不是 Okura Garden Hotel?” He just brushed me aside and said ”不知道!”. In the end I had to dashed into the hotel lobby and reconfirmed with the reception on duty. Understand that English may not be a common language for the hotel staff especially the older ones. But won't it make a great difference if the staff at least knows the English name of the hotel that they are working for?

Great location to visit the Bund, Yun Garden and City God Temple anytime. Booked the family suite room as a first timer. The room has two beds, enough space for up to 4 person and a living room. Room facing Landmark view (a sculpture). Top notch bidet toilet bowl, automatic closure and opening plus heating of the pad. Down side is the room was stuffy and hot during cold season. Heating system is centralised and the most the hotel staff can do is to provide an additional fan in the room to help with the ventilation. Presume this will the problem of most hotel who use centralised heating/cooling system. Staff is accommodating when you ask for their help. Standard of service is acceptable for me.

Lovely hotel in a pretty good location. Loved the cloud bar! Staff seemed very confused about the “gifts” included in the hotel booking, and opening times of the bar for new years but Mr Lee was very helpful. The rooms are decent. A little dirty marks on the wall. Could definitely offer better services such as changing bedding pillows or room service. Not worth the money we paid.

Overall a disappointing experience for several reasons. I’m not one who usually writes negative reviews or makes lists of issues when I stay at hotels, but there were a few that were difficult to ignore: 1. I stayed on Christmas Eve because we were having the hotel’s brunch the next day. I thought I would have a nice, relaxing morning to wake up and get ready, but instead was awoken to construction work out in the hallway—drilling and hammering that were incredibly loud. Furthermore, the whole room was then filled with the STRONGEST, AWFUL smell of burning plastic that I had ever smelt. Because none of the windows in the room could open, I had to suffer through the smell and try to ready as quickly as possible…not a pleasant way to wake up! 2. The bathroom just wasn’t clean. There were urine and possible blood stains on the toilet seat and floor that I had to wipe away when I first arrived to the room. Cleaning services should do a better job to check the toilet surfaces when cleaning. 3. It’s December and the middle of a cold snap in Shanghai, but for some reason the room was unbearably hot and stuffy. I turned off the heating and even tried to turn on the cold AC but the temperature remained the same. It was difficult to sleep because of how hot and sweaty I was. The windows couldn’t be opened so I couldn’t even get a fresh breeze…

Located directly on Nanjing road where all the food stops and only 12 minutes walking distance to the Bund! Food: 10/5 The breakfast selection here is SUPERB. They have cold dishes like salad, hot food such as noodles and pan fried buns and local snacks such as fried rice cubes (?) Ci fan gao. I booked this hotel stay to celebrate my mums 65th birthday and the hotel staff are so sweet and organised a beautiful chocolate cake for us. Honestly, this hotel is fabulous and is worth your money!

The location is in centre of city .The bund is just 1.7 km from here and nanjing Road is 900 m from here .I highly recommend to stay in this apartment if any one visiting Shanghai .The room is hygienic and clean .all basic facilities are available in the room . The price of room is cheaper as compared to hotel rooms which are very small in size . I would stay in this place again if I visit Shanghai again in future .😊

Environment: Very suitable for bringing children, the interior design and lobby structure are great, and it is a very comfortable living environment Service: The staff are very friendly and it is convenient to take out food, which can be delivered to your door. Hygiene: No problems found, very clean Facilities: The 4 parks are good for releasing children's energy. The park is very clean, but the indoor park currently does not have as much content as previously reviewed. There are few small kitchen toys that can be played and are a bit shabby. There is only one car in the car theme. None... Boating is no longer allowed in the outdoor pool (I don’t know if it was because of the cold winter that I drained the water or gave up completely. I originally wanted to use the transparent Internet celebrity boat). Summary: Although the park is a bit disappointing, it can still be given 5 stars overall. If you don’t want to eat at the buffet in the hotel, you can also order takeout. There are many takeaways around and they are delivered very quickly. Disney pick-up and drop-off, as well as peripheral sales and stroller rentals, are a very good choice for families with children going to Disney.

The hotel is conveniently located and there are many restaurants nearby. The hotel staff are friendly, nice and helpful. Just 2 things that caused certain inconveniences. 1. The staff took away the bath mat and forgot to replace a new one. 2. The door could not be closed tightly in the shower room and water did leak out of the door. Good value for family travel especially the double beds and fully equipped kitchen. Hotel is a bit old and the bathroom sliding door needs a replacement. I was almost trapped in the bathroom when the sliding door was jammed. Managed to squeeze myself out from the gap. Maintenance guy was quick in responding but couldn’t fix the problem onsite. We ended up having an open bathroom with four inmates 🙁. Location wise is good, metro is next door, there are many eateries within walking distance.

The transportation is convenient, not far from Huangxing Park, and there is also line 8 subway. The environment is relatively quiet, the place is not large, but the design is modern Chinese, and there is a micro-bookstore in the lobby. The breakfast is just behind the lobby on the first floor. There is not much food. There are no original wheat slices in the Western-style breakfast, but some basic tastes are good. Coffee is especially important. I originally ordered no breakfast, but I was surprised that coffee pods were not prepared in the rooms of the star-rated hotels in Shanghai, so I added breakfast. There is no freshly ground hand brew. The automatic coffee machine can choose Italian or American style. I tried them all. Well, I won't comment on it. The front desk clerk is very nice.

Stayed for the third time, very convenient location, next to Baolong Plaza, Wanda Plaza 20 minutes walk. The room was clean, the space was large, and the rest was quiet at night. There is a bathtub to take a bath and rest. The view from the south room is particularly good. The pillow is a bit high, and you have to communicate with the front desk in advance next time. Recommended stay.
