Great and unique hotel. Very comfortable “glamping.” Location is about a mile or 20 min walk from the Shandan Army farm. Breakfast start at 8am which is a bit late since the Shandan horse walk in the morning is between 7-9am, which means you would really want to have breakfast around 6:45am. So we were not able to have breakfast and there’s also nothing to eat inside the horse farm. Other than that, overall good experience. I would recommend. Also note you need to buy water here which is unusual for hotels, normally hotels give you unlimited bottles of water.

The hotel is located on the edge of Shandan Horse Farm, and it's a campsite. It fulfilled my desire to camp on the grass! Early in the morning, I could see the horses clocking in at the horse farm across the street, and the mountains in the distance were shrouded in a celestial aura. It felt so refreshing to start the morning! The tents were fully equipped, with private bathrooms for showers, electric blankets, and heaters. The camp staff thoughtfully picked up and dropped off luggage by electric cart. They even helped me with my door card, as I was busy taking photos and had closed the door without my card! I'll definitely stay here again next time I go horseback riding at Shandan Horse Farm.

Everything was satisfactory, but the breakfast was too plain. The children said there was no meat or milk, and the food was a bit cold. It was already quite cold after the rain, and there was no hot food to eat, which was a bit unsatisfactory.

I chose this place because I wanted to go to the military horse farm the next morning. The conditions were indeed difficult, but it was OK for one night. The waiters were very enthusiastic. Overall, it was not bad in the mountains. The price was indeed quite expensive.
