The first impression is charming. Located in a nice natural environment, you can enjoy the view of the surrounding mountains. The room seems modern but lack of space for 2 people so suitcases quickly end up under the bed. The food served at dinner is quite good but the price for a bottle of wine is relatively high. On this occasion, a look at the prices offered for a small jar of jam or honey allows you to see that the prices charged are quite high ($10)... we then begin to realize with the price of the room which is also high for the standard, the guest house is truly a pure place for tourists. The ""best"" part is the guest house's swimming pool, which is actually not included in the high price of the room. Also open to the public, you will charged 600 soms (€6) for an hour. Moreover, Google Translate will be your best friend, as the staff only speak Russian. At the end, at breakfast, there is also only instant coffee, the coffee machine shown in published photos having been removed. So, to conclude, guest house too expensive for what it is.

Stay away - it’s highly overpriced with very little value for money. We payed 120 $ for a twin room without lunch. First I didn’t understand the price because at the homepage the price is 120$ including lunch - they wrote to me it was 2022-2023 price. So why didn’t they correct the old price and why didn’t they offer me the price they announced?! Anyway, when you pay this price in Kyrgyzstan you expect something special. You don’t get it here. The food is very ordinary, actually below average. Only the bread was very good. On top the toilet didn’t function and the bathroom were not nice with shields on the ceiling. But what was really the limit for me was for breakfast when I realized I had to pay for the good coffee😳😳😳 Yes, I could get instant coffee, but when they claim high standard😵‍💫 One from the staff was very friendly, but she couldn’t do anything.

Excellent guest house in Chuy valley, quiet location and excellent food. The property is clean and has a nice internal garden. We stayed for one night only but it’s a good base to explore the surrounding area. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended

After spending one night in busy and hot Bishkek, it was wonderful to stay at Ashuu Guesthouse in a tiny village in a lush valley with peaceful vibes and starry skies. The room was lovely and the food excellent! The views from the outside terrace, where we had our meals, were amazing. As always in Kyrgizstan - super friendly people!

We stayed for one night as part of a group tour. The guest house was in a quiet, rural village in a beautiful mountain valley setting. We had in an upstairs ensuite twin room of adequate size and standard but with a small bathroom. The first room they gave us had not been cleaned properly – the staff were really surprised and apologetic, immediately changing it to another. We had an evening meal, breakfast and lunch there which were off set menus but all pretty good. They were served in a separate building at tables inside or on a covered balcony. There was also a swimming pool on site but you had to pay by the hour. We would have preferred it to be freely available even if there was a slight uplift of room cost.

Located in a small little countryside village this is a rustic quaint guest house built mainly of timber & completely run by cooperate of women. It’s really bigger than a guest house now. There is the main building with the dining room & then other house on the property to house the guests. The rooms are basic but comfortable all with two single beds. The bathroom has a large walk in shower. The rooms do not get serviced until the end of the stay. All meals, breakfast, lunch & dinner, are provided by the women. They are home cooked meals, nothing fancy but very tasty & substantial. There is even wifi on the property that works most of the time. Lots of beautiful scenery & local traditions on display in the area.

This is really a very basic hotel - far too big now to be called a guesthouse. The rooms are well decorated with local handicrafts but they only have narrow single beds. There’s a big dining hall and everyone gets served the same evening meal. It was ok with large portions but nothing special. Breakfast was copious and good. Watch out for additional charges. They were selling a bottle of wine for $30 dollars which we had bought in a restaurant in Karakol for about £5.50. There’s a big lane pool (which costs £5 per hour. They’re also building a big conference centre. It’s in a great location for walking.

We spent 1 night in this guest house, with a group of 22 people. The comfort level of the rooms is basic, but these are clean and each have clean sanitary. Breakfast is copious as to Kyrgyzstan standards. Friendly people. A walk in the environment is highly recommended.

Our bedroom (38) was in a separate challet style wooden block and was very small and extreamely minimal, like a youth hostel. We had dinner and breakfast in a separate block and enjoyed the local sourced food and service very much. The guesthouse appears to be in the middle of nowhere, but there are nice walks in the countryside nearby. On site is a large swimming pool building which seemed out of character with the other rustic surroundings. We enjoyed having a go on the wooded swings in the garden!
