My son and I stayed here for 5 days at the end of March for some late season skiing. We arrived late morning hoping to leave our bags at the hotel but were told our room was ready and we could check-in. Room was good size with plenty of storage space, a large bathroom with good shower and large balcony area. Walls were thin (as someone else has said) and rooms at front of building would have a much nicer view but otherwise all good. Breakfast provided a good choice, including eggs and bacon, of nice food and drinks; bar in reception area was convenient and cheaply priced for drinks on your way out or back. The biggest asset of the hotel though is the manager, a more helpful and industrious man you couldn’t wish to meet. He provided recommendations on hire shops and restaurants and never seemed to stop working. Thoroughly enjoyed our first time skiing in Italy staying at this lovely hotel, will definitely be back…

Just returned from a lads (middle aged mens) ski trip… 11 of us. I don’t usually leave reviews to be honest but we’ve just had such a great trip. Hotel is a little basic, BUT it has everything you need. Great location in a pretty little square 5 minute walk to chairlift, fairly small but clean and comfortable rooms, nice bathrooms, hot showers, comfy beds, good breakfast. But most of all great staff… Aldo and his team are so helpful and friendly. I sent them lots of messages, lots of inquiries before headed out and they were quick at responding to all of them and incredibly helpful. And when we were there he was very chatty and approachable. All in all we’ve had a cracking week and would definitely return. Some decent skiing to be had in Sestrière & Sauze. Not much for absolute beginners I would say, not many blues at all in fact but lots of nice reds & blacks. We’re a group of mixed abilities and we all got on well. Some really lovely restaurants on the slopes and around the town of Sestrière. We ate some very nice meals while away.

The hotel is centrally located, well maintained and very clean. The staff could not have been more helpful, and the breakfasts were excellent. We had a lovely stay and would not hesitate to book again.

Excellent hotel. Good breakfast, friendly staff, loads of hot water, full sized bath perfect for a soak after a days skiing Very convenient in centre of town and handy for restaurants in the evening The only criticism is that the beds are too hard !

The accommodation was excellent and the staff were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble to arrange ski passes, lessons and restaurant recommendations. I would recommend staying here for skiing and for the friendly atmosphere in resort.

Overall nice hotel very close to the lift for ViaLattea. Good central location, very generous breakfast and clean rooms. Efficient and hard working staff. Rooms are on the basic side but certainly adequate for rest after skiing. Walls are pretty thin. Bed was comfortable and price was reasonable. Would stay again if in the area.

Rooms were very clean. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good and hearty, setting us up for a day on the ski slopes. Set in a nice little square with plenty of bars and restaurants within easy reach.

Il Fraitevino exceeded our expectations. Very clean, comfortable and an excellent breakfast with a great continental spread PLUS the offer each morning of cooked eggs. our party of 7 concluded the value for money was outstanding. Aldo (Manager / owner) could not have been more helpful. The location was excellent with just a short walk to the Cit Roc chair lift and plenty of restaurants and bars a short walk away. We even enjoyed the occasional night cap in the hotel reception bar. I wouldnt hesitate to stay again.

Great location for skiing trip. Hotel is righti in the centre of Sestriere and close to restaurants etc. Probably easier to hire skis etc near the entrance to the slopes. Hotel is functional rather than luxurious but the staff are hard working, friendly and aim to please. Breakfast starts at 8 but when we left at 7 for an early flight we were allowed help ourselves from buffet. Rooms are spotlessly clean and there are good showers etc. The manager gave us good suggestions for where to eat etc. Would certainly return to Il Fraitevino.
