Namib Desert Lodge

Fantastic overnight stay here. We stayed on our way back to Windhoek from Sossusvlei. It’s about 45 minutes’ drive to Sossusvlei so very conveniently located. The room was nice and the food for dinner and breakfast was very delicious. Staff were very friendly too. The grounds are incredibly beautiful and situated under a very scenic cliff base so the views are very pleasant. The only slight problem was the shower was quite cold no matter what we did, but other than that we had a good time here. The wifi was particularly good and fast for Namibia. They said it was only available in the restaurant and reception (as is normal for every hotel in Sossusvlei/Etosha) but we were able to connect to it even from our room 67 which was quite far from there. I would recommend a stay here.

Good stay Benedicta and the staff were very friendly. The grounds were well kept and the family rooms especially were very spacious. This is a good choice when visiting the Namib area.

Namib Desert Lodge was such a lovely place to stay. The rooms and lodge were comfortable and well-kept; the food in the restaurant was great; the service was wonderful. They offered great excursions for guests who were interested in this.

A great company My GoPro was lost there and they found it and then delivered it to Etosha Safari Lodge, another hotel of the same company, where we stayed a few days later. This tells a lot positively about this company. On this trip we only used Gondwana hotels and services. The company didn’t disappoint us. I highly recommend Gondwana.
