Logis Hotel Schaeffer- Restaurant le Saint Georges

What we loved - the friendliest staff and I mean friendly, they even walked us up to our room and showed us the amenities etc - the huge and extremely comfortable bed - the range of towels available - the additional pillows and blankets - the kettle, coffee and tea making facilities - the toiletries available in the bathroom - the window overlooking the river and the fact you could open the window fully to air the room - the bath and availability of hot water - the incredible food at the hotel restaurant- it isn’t a normal hotel restaurant but a top rated restaurant in the area - the secure bike parking in their garage Things to be mindful of - the cocktail of the moment in the restaurant was served with flat ginger ale - a standard thing to do when you stay anywhere but double check your bill as we were nearly charged for a breakfast we did not have, they quickly removed it once we explained we had not taken breakfast (we prefer to eat in nearby boulangeries)

Extremely smiley, helpful staff - the receptionist carried our bags up to our room and down again in the morning! One of the (if not THE) best hotel breakfasts ever - lovely bread, the tastiest pain au chocolat I've had in years, homemade jam. Everything was yummy. The room was clean and comfortable, though the bedding was a bit odd. View over the river. Aircon and sound proofing. So lovely to deal with such friendly, professional people. Will definitely go back if in the area.
