Great location and fantastic staff who work so hard. Prices at hotel for food and drink are just as cheap as outside and even cheaper in some cases. Fantastic pool and grounds which are well maintained, however the WiFi leaves a lot to be desired. That said I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I have been staying at this hotel for the last 14 years . This year 2025 as to be the worst experience I have ever had . It’s classed as a 3 star well it’s not even worth 1 star. Out off 14 day stay for 6 days we never had decent water flow to have a shower ever time you went to reception it would be we will send a plumber and they did but it never got sorted one night it was so bad we had to go and shower in a empty apartment .the pool area toilets never flushed know running water to wash your hands. At 6 pm on our last night I found my jewellery to be missing which was 5 gold rings and a tree of life necklace .I reported this to lamin jambang immediately. He promised to come in on the next day and investigate which he didn’t I reported it to the Tui rep and had to go to the police station and file a report .myself. The only people who went into our room apart from me and my friend was the cleaners .i asked the cleaners and they just put the arms in the air. And deny everything.i am absolutely gutted as these rings were priceless to me and can’t be replaced..there were rumours. Going around the hotel saying I had found these items which was untrue. I feel totally let down by the management .all they want to do is cover up what as gone on . So if ur thinking of staying here do be careful and make sure to leave vauleables at home . Because they know respect for your items Be careful if u use the pool as the handrail is loose and dangerous amongst other things in the hotel

Had an amazing holiday here, when I read the reviews I have to admit I was worried, however I have to say I had a great time yes the room is basic, but only used to sleep in and I've stayed in much worse in the UK. Daily maid service, bed which was really comfortable ,any problems sorted in Gambian time but all adds to the experience, only ate at the hotel one night would I eat there again ? probably not as the food on the ***** is amazing Would I go again most definitely , the staff are all friendly, the ease of getting to the beach, the sunsets from the beach bar are breathtaking , the monkeys entertain you when they steal your bananas, definitely a drop and flop holiday five star from me

As this was our 5th trip to the Gambia we weren’t expecting 5 stars but these apartments are absolutely shocking. We booked a standard room as all photos on first choice n Tui were exactly the same. We arrived late on 13/12/2024 and was put in room A6 on opening the door the musky smell hit you and the stained bed sheets were appalling, the guy that showed us the room told us to go to reception next morning as no one usually stays in there and always upgrades, asked to hire a fridge an that came smelling worse than the room so had to clean it out before using it. Went to reception next morning n was told we had to pay to upgrade to a deluxe room so we did. The deluxe room was probably a standard but at least it had bath towels n smelt a lot nicer. Went for breakfast which was very poor compared to other apartments we have stayed in previously, there were few glasses for juice which you had to wait for other guests to finish so the staff could wash them n bring them back out. Next stop after breakfast was the pool which was clean and very well kept around pool area n gardens. Asked for a coke with ice at bar and they didn’t have any glasses and was told to go to reception and ask for some which we did, the reception staff looked at us stupid and said they didn’t have any so we went around a few supermarkets and finally found some and bought 2. Took them to the bar and staff were so apologetic and embarrassed that we had to do that, reported it to the rep nxt day who claimed no one had reported this but according to other guests they all had. The manager hung in the background and the rep said he would sort it but no glasses appeared during our stay and so many guests complained. As I stated to the rep a glass to drink out of is not a luxury it’s a basic need and considering what we paid to stay there you would expect to get a glass. We ate once at the restaurant and asked for mayonnaise which was brought in a little dish half way through my meal a member of staff come and asked if I had finished with it n gave it to another guest so good job I hadn’t dipped my chicken chips or fingers in it . Two or three salt n pepper on the breakfast table so you were constantly asking to borrow it off other guests and tomato ketchup was given on request and taken straight back once you had squirted it. This review has no reflection on the hard working staff there they are only following the manager’s order but come on if you are going to treat guests like that you shouldn’t be a manager. Xmas eve was an eyeopener plush tables, chairs n decorations brought in absolutely amazing buffet and entertainment all free of charge which I would rather have paid for and have the basics the most of the holiday just don’t make sense. What made our holiday was the lovely hard working Gambian’ staff who get paid very little and the lovely guests we meet like a little community around the pool everyone looking out for each other. Will definitely return to Gambia but defi

I was sceptic to go here as we normally do 5 star but wanted something different. We had an amazing time. Few tips.. firstly open your mind to where your going. Advisable to take a cup and glass as can run out. Plenty of mosquito repellent. Watch the steps going into the pool there slippy and the ladder near the little pool is missing steps seen so many people fall in. I would recommend staying in the bungalow room or superior as alot of people who booked deluxe or standard paid to get moved as described it as a prison block. Food in the day was better than the night but all very tasty. If you ask them they will make you stuff which isn't on the menu. All the staff are amazing please respect they only get paid £1 a day yet still go above and beyond. Would definitely return.

Very tired and cheaply run. Internet is only in reception and barely works (great if you want to disconnect, not great if you want to arrange trips, keep in contact with family or do work). Room range from gross to passable, you have to pay for everything outside of a bed (fridge, safe, fan, a/c is extra) some rooms have no fans and are beyond basic. Staff is friendly but one did help themselves to my stuff that I left on the bed (sure it was mistaken for a gift but it was excessing and greedy) and men are lovely friendly which got exhausting. Location is good...don't stay here if you can afford better...any of the other hotels are nicer.
