Ideal hotel and location for the older people or couples, especially the self catering apart-hotels. Very polite and friendly staff. Literally on the beach with easy access to a wide shallow beach. Easy to access bird-watching and creek tours by canoe. Spent a month there and looking forward to going back in November. Excellent value for money! Highly recommended!

Room was spacious and clean. Property was not busy...seems like it doesn't get much business. Breakfast was basic but good (no refills on coffee), bread, meat, cheese, jams, and fresh fruit. Loved the table and chairs outside to sit in the evening. Staff was friendly. Location is great...market, restaurants, bar, and shops right outside. We didn't eat at any of the restaurants but dominos beach bar for a sunset drink is nice!!! Beach was clean and lots of people enjoying it. Great street food stalls at night for sandwiches (she sells out fast!). Road to main street is an easy walk to grab a local shared taxi. Good fried dough stand (among other things) about midway! 5-10 minute ride from Senegambia ***** and monkey park.

We have stayed here many years But this time was amazing staff were pleasant and helpful Evening entertainment was out of this world lots of work being done on hotel but didn't Interfere at all Weather was the best ever so hot stayed In room b1 Really had a lovely time thankyou to all at bungalow beach hotel 5* Chris and ness

It was our first time staying at bungalow beach, but not our first time to The Gambia the staff at the hotel were super friendly helpful and fun, it was quite quiet while we were there, so had the lovely pool to ourselves most of the time, we were one of the first to travel with Gambia.co.Uk who introduced the breakfast included rather than the basket of food brought to your room and bread daily, on our first morning we went to breakfast and there was confusion on wether we should pay? Bob the builder (waiter) sorted it out, after some haggling for a 2nd cup of coffee! The breakfast was not too good sadly so we swapped for the basket of food and bread delivered daily, which was great. We were not prepared for this, so had to go and buy washing up liquid and tea towel, our room boy Lamin C block was excellent and good fun, we had an ant problem (it is The Gambia) and he sorted it straight away, always fresh towels and toilet paper daily. Philip and Baba the barmen were good fun too, the beds were comfy the shower always plenty of hot water, I have stayed in the Kombo many times, but actually prefer BB thank you Sillah for answering my emails regarding where our room would be and see you next year thank you Bungalow beach

Stayed for 10 days, right on the beach. BUT, no businesses take cards, so you have an £8 cab ride to the nearest cashpoint. I had my tablet stolen from my locked apartment within 2 days and management did nothing, then I discovered my fridge, hotplate and TV didn't work - management did nothing. Make your own choice.

Very impressed with all new room, kitchen and bathroom. Fridge stocked with breakfast essentials, just add bread. Incredible value… Everything works! Even when the notorious power cuts happen, they have their own standby generator which cuts in automatically and you don’t even notice.

Bungalow Beach is a quiet hotel, located directly on the beach and with lots of greenery around the rooms where you can enjoy yourself in peace. It is equipped with all necessary facilities and the restaurant has a good kitchen. The kitchenette is also very nice, so you can have breakfast in the room. Bungalow Beach also has the great advantage for bird watchers that it is close to the Birdwatching Center and Kotu Bridge. The Birdwatching Center organizes boat trips on the Kotu Creek, where you can observe and photograph beautiful birds. The Birdwatching Center's official guides are extremely knowledgeable. We undertook wonderful excursions with bird guide Famara Njie alias Jack Sparrow and were able to photograph more than 100 birds within 14 days. We of course used BB as a base for day trips, with breakfast in the room. During a multi-day trip, we simply kept the room in Bungalow Beach, so that we did not have to take all our luggage with us. Basic apartement. Goede bedden. Douche blijft warm, heeft geen krachtige straal, maar je kunt je haar prima wassen. We hadden voor airco gekozen, maar deze niet nodig gehad. We hebben zelf de dekbedden in de kast in onze hoezen gestopt. Wifi werkt eigenlijk niet, behalve heel vroeg in de ochtend. We hadden een mooi uitzicht op zee. Als je via de achteringang het strand op gaat en je loopt naar links zit daar een leuke strandtent met gratis bedjes en goede wifi (dominos) Algemeen: bijna nergens kun je met je creditcard betalen. Pinautomaten zijn vaak leeg (maybe tomorrow 😂) maar Euros kun je goed wisselen. Dus neem genoeg contant mee. Met de taxi naar de ***** kost 200-300D daar zijn veel restaurants, de prijs ligt ook iets lager. Als je wordt benaderd voor wat dan ook (zo'n beetje elke 5 minuten) dan helpt het om te zeggen dat je al een chauffeur hebt, dan zijn ze zo weer weg. Smiling is for free. Dus met een mooie glimlach een keer nee zeggen en dan houdt het vanzelf op (op een enkeling na natuurlijk)

Prima in orde, verwacht geen hoogstandje maar de bedden zijn heel goed, de douche werkt, er is een klein keukentje en een terras bij je kamer/app. Wij vonden het een prima keus, vlakbij het strand, klein muurtje om het verblijf en terrein wordt dag en bewaakt. Niet dat we ons ook maar 1 moment onveilig hebben gevoeld. Strand op ongeveer 20m. Wij hadden een kamer op de b.g.g. Eerste avond bij het restaurant van het hotel gegeten, ok goed. Overige dagen hebben we de restaurants die om de hoek zitten verkent, ook allemaal in orde.
