Absolutely amazing hotel. On our way to the hotel we were little bit worried based on some negative reviews but I always believe: don’t rely on strong words reviews before you try it by yourself. What you can expect are: beautiful landscape, amazing old manoir and super attentive stuff lead day by day by the owner. Special thanks to Matteo - he accompanied us like extra-hospitable friend!

Do not stay with Villa La Bollina. The hotel listing and website are untrue or deceptive. The listing and website indicated air conditioning BUT they shut it centrally. We requested for it to be turned on, but the receptionist said it cannot be done. Left with no choice as the room is very stuffy, we requested for a fan which turns out to be old and noisy, the overly strong wind from the fan blew my hair over my face. We were told to just open the windows since it was stuffy, and so mosquitoes and other insects flew in as there is not even a mesh to prevent insects from getting into the room. Upon feedback to the hotel manager/director called IVAN, we were disgusted by his atrocious bad attitude. He said they are a small place and so there is no aircon. I told him they are 4 stars hotel and listing indicated aircon and that they should amend their listing to avoid misrepresentation to future guests. When we told Ivan that the room is stuffy/hot & insects flew in, he repeated our comments sarcastically and smirked at us. I asked him to respect us as hotel guests since i talked to him respectfully and softly too. At one point, he raised his voice & told us that we called for him 10 times (which is totally untrue). We only asked for fan, extra pillows & a kettle. The coffee dispenser is faulty. Ivan also dismissed our other feedback including toilet flush not working (Ivan replied “it’s like that”, and pillows are thin like bedsheets. We had neck pain and sleepless night in this hotel and were dismissed with a pathetic 24 euros discount, after getting horrendous attitude and unkind accusations from the hotel manager/director, Ivan. He slammed the door at us when we departed. What terrible person in the hospitality line! Please stay elsewhere. 220 Euros for a stuffy non—aircon room with flying insects, trust me you can’t sleep at night on your vacation. They don’t hang their towels on the walls, instead used a movable tripod metal stand which needed to balance 2 towels on both sides. The metal stand fell and hit and bruised my foot. 1 star for this hotel. Terrible.

Loved every minute of staying in this hotel. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. They were welcoming, friendly and made sure our stay was perfect, this is what made the hotel special for us. The hotel is in a quiet location and sleeping was not an issue. We’ll definitely come back at some point and would highly recommend to anyone that wants to stay in Italy.

I was here for an event with friends, the place is very nice, it is well located with a nice view of the surrounding area. We had an aperitif on the terrace, and then we moved to the tables, the service was good but the dishes were decent, in particular the fish at our table was served half raw, we contested the fact it was withdrawn and cooked again, too bad I didn't the same slice that was returned to me arrived. perhaps not suitable for group events. Worth trying again because the place deserves it.

He offered us several solutions and we opted for an aperitif on the panoramic terrace. The lists of aperitifs and meals were excellent. accompaniments We started with two glasses of wine and a focaccia with prawns and then continued with two delicious tartares. Subsequently the restaurant manager, Mr Mauro, recommended a dessert paired with cigars and rum. Amazing. Congratulations for your passion and professionalism. Stopping on the road to Tuscany, we were sometimes surprised and sometimes disappointed. A neutral but pleasant welcome. A decent level of English. A tour of the room that was far too brief. We could have been told what this cord is for in the shower and the bathtub. There is a lack of information about the hotel in the room. The gardens are large, huge trees adequately shade the area. A grove of roses at the foot of the stairs is desperately the only floral mass in the entire park. It's really a shame. There are so many ways to make this place more beautiful. But I bet they will do so over the years. The room is ok. The very old style bathroom would benefit from having only a bathtub or a shower but not both because the shower is tiny, wedged behind the door. The restaurant has a very charming outdoor terrace. Overlooking the courtyard and its lawn too alone. The map is short. The dishes are meant to be complicated. But lacks taste, spices and generosity. On the service side, we feel a real desire to do well. To live up to the place and its pretensions. But amateurism emerges everywhere. All in all, this makes me say that the establishment has not been run by the same people for 30 years. They need to get used to it, to get used to it. So one day they will be able to claim to offer what the place seems to deserve from the high (but not excessive) prices charged. A pleasant place for one night, I will happily return there in a few years to see the improvements.
