First camp in Tanzania and what an outstanding beginning. The staff are just exactly what is needed in Safari. Attentive, engaging and responsive. They are all friendly but unobtrusive - perfect! We were met by the charming Manager on arrival with fruit juice and cool towels for freshening up. Driven to our “room” and given the necessary info. Calls for escorts when dark were immediately handled. The food was wonderful, the facility was immaculate and the rooms are so spacious and comfortable. Watching a group of giraffes from the back porch and hearing the hyenas at night - a surprisingly soothing sound - was a highlight. We also saw 4 of the Big 5 in our two days there! Shout out to our amazing server/helper/teacher/friend Omari! A lovely man who showed such generosity of spirit and humor. 5 stars

Sametu: The Karibu permanent camp in the heart of the Serengeti. The warm and friendly staff are there to meet you upon arrival. One person is assigned as your personal assistant during your stay ensuring you have a comfortable time. This was our fourth visit to the camp and it remains one of our favorites. For those with limited mobility and for everyone after the sun goes down there is a buggy which will transport you from the main area to your cabin and back. One only needs to pick up the phone. The food is very good with a varied menu each meal to select from Wildlife can be seen there at any time. A giraffe was by the pool while a cheetah out front of the main building attracted eveyone’s attention. A wide range of birds were seen on the property.

Wow, I cannot say enough about our experience! From the moment our guide, Barrick, picked us up from the airstrip until the day he dropped us off, we were treated like VIPs. I loved the cup of coffee he treated us to as soon as we landed! Davide was our assigned butler and he did everything possible to ensure our stay was comfortable. He had coffee waiting for us every morning and worked with the chef on alternate meals when I had trouble adjusting to the food (not the camp’s issue, this was 100% my issue). Jonas, the general manager, was so kind and frequently checked in to ensure our stay was going well. Barrick went above and beyond as our private guide, and we managed to see 4 of the big 5. Because of his knowledge, he was able to get us pretty close to so many animals, including a pride of lions, cheetahs and the leopard. It’s so clear he loves his job and takes his client’s experience seriously. The rooms are so nice - very spacious with private outdoor space. Admittedly the first night it was a bit unsettling to hear the hyenas right outside our tent but that is part of the experience. We never felt unsafe and we appreciated the attention to our safety. We even had a pair of lions visiting one night during supper! Thank you Jonas, Davide, Barrick and the entire team for truly making our Serengeti safari a dream experience!

Had an amazing trip to the Serengeti with my family. Our resort, the Sametu Camp by Karina Camos & Lodges was great. Thank you especially to our host Ramadhan, but also to the rest of the staff. The accommodations were great and the food excellent. I would recommend them to anyone visiting Tanazania!

The Serengeti Sametu camp was an incredible place—beautiful, clean, and with amazing views. On top of that, our stay was perfect with the exceptional service from Ramadhan. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always made sure we had everything we needed to celebrate our anniversary. My husband Abdelkader and I highly recommend this camp and Ramadhan’s service if you’re staying here

This place is amazing. The service is impeccable, the place is gorgeous, and the restaurant serves amazing food. This is truly a luxury experience. On top of all that, it's very close to lots of wildlife. There was a leopard when we first arrived in a nearby tree, Cape Buffalo near the camp one night, and a 15min drive to lions.
