David the man who served us was a class apart. The service at karibu was something we will always remember. You don't expect such brilliant service and facilities in a place as such. To get this kind of service in this part of the world has been a wow experience for us all. We came here 7 of us to celebrate moms 70th bday and from the airport pick up our guide to the camp the food the bar the facilities the bartender the room service to just everything was unexplainable. To sum this up our experience was absolutely WOW.

It was such an amazing stay. I’ve never been anywhere in my life with such amazing hospitality. The food was the best I’ve had in a very long time and they took time out to change and tweak things on the menu. The safari was the most amazing thing ever. We saw lions cheetahs leopards and anything and everything you can think of.

My husband and I visited the Sametu Camp for 2 days this April and could not have had a better experience. The staff was so friendly, accommodating and continually went above and beyond to make our trip special. They even offered to switch our room when some buffalos cut off the WiFi to our room. The food was excellent and Ramadhan took the best care of us! The hotel is in a perfect location and we saw so many animals at and around the hotel.

This was my 4th time staying at Sametu. Each time has been wonderful!! The staff is amazing and very accommodating. We had a food allergy and every meal had options for everyone. Our butler, Ramahdan was amazing and attentive! The barman, Driver, remembered what we drank each day and had it ready for us immediately. This is always our last camp on the safari, which makes it extra special. Already thinking about the next time.

The service, the food, the ambience. This place is magical! When I walked up and looked out over the wildlife preserve next to the pool, the beauty was stunning! But every aspect exceeded expectations. The staff made me feel everyday was a birthday celebration. They were so kind, attentive to every need, I honestly had no idea service could reach this level. The food! I asked the chef for multiple recipes and then suggested he make a cookbook for purchase by future guests. But what was the MOST amazing, was the wildlife really is immersed in this place. I had 36 elephants walk through the camp 5 feet from my front door. At night I could use flashlights from inside and see hippos grazing 10 feet from the back door. The staff are very serious about safety and escort you as well as educate you on safety practices. Honestly, this place is magical. I’ve never been anywhere like it, and probably never will again unless I return!!

First camp in Tanzania and what an outstanding beginning. The staff are just exactly what is needed in Safari. Attentive, engaging and responsive. They are all friendly but unobtrusive - perfect! We were met by the charming Manager on arrival with fruit juice and cool towels for freshening up. Driven to our “room” and given the necessary info. Calls for escorts when dark were immediately handled. The food was wonderful, the facility was immaculate and the rooms are so spacious and comfortable. Watching a group of giraffes from the back porch and hearing the hyenas at night - a surprisingly soothing sound - was a highlight. We also saw 4 of the Big 5 in our two days there! Shout out to our amazing server/helper/teacher/friend Omari! A lovely man who showed such generosity of spirit and humor. 5 stars

The place is beautiful I The food is great (especially the soups) the room was beyond amazing. The absolute best thing about my stay was the 100% the staff gave us their friendless their professionalism. Please make sure you let your staff know how amazing they are.

Sametu: The Karibu permanent camp in the heart of the Serengeti. The warm and friendly staff are there to meet you upon arrival. One person is assigned as your personal assistant during your stay ensuring you have a comfortable time. This was our fourth visit to the camp and it remains one of our favorites. For those with limited mobility and for everyone after the sun goes down there is a buggy which will transport you from the main area to your cabin and back. One only needs to pick up the phone. The food is very good with a varied menu each meal to select from Wildlife can be seen there at any time. A giraffe was by the pool while a cheetah out front of the main building attracted eveyone’s attention. A wide range of birds were seen on the property.

We had a wonderful two days in the Serengeti! We would like to say that there are amazing people working here, super team, especially thank you for Omari care! Very tasty food, clean and cosy cabins, care in every moment! I recommend it to everyone! Thanks for the memories
