Mara Serena Safari Lodge

I cannot speak highly enough about our recent visit to the Serena Mara Lodge. The place itself is an absolute haven. It is made 100 times better by their incredible staff. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The rooms are immaculate. Food was lovely with a different choice every day from the buffet. There was tea and coffee in the room which made it nicer when getting up early for safari. We were also given a breakfast box to take with us on safari so we could have a bush breakfast! A truly magical time spent here!

This hotel is in a gorgeous cliff side location! The rooms were cute and cozy with views from any room. The main restaurant and buffet were very nice, and the service was always 5 out of 5! It’s also in a great location to the airstrip. It was easy to get in and out. Our family had an amaxing time!

The logde is good but be warned when going for full day Safari, Ensure you don't carry lunch boxes, it's pathetic and horrible,conmanship at it's best ....go do safari then come back for nice and warm lunch at the hotel, avoid lunch boxes if you love yourself

Very quaint, very comfortable, very enjoyable. Lovely rooms with mosquito nets and wifi. Restaurant very busy but good. Plenty of comfortable outside seating - around a fire pit too - with magnificent views of sunset over the Mara. One of those moments you feel so lucky and grateful to be alive. Staff were uniformly excellent too. Friendly, efficient, and professional. We had a lovely stay.

This is our beloved place, we have been here eight times and we will come here again. Mary is very good and professionaly, handled our resevation very well we always Come because of Mary, she also made us to visit Serena Serengeti and Nairobi Serena, Mike the Manage was very good, Ole Reko our driver guide showed us the big five, Emmanuel also was good driver guide.

We stayed here for two nights during our Safari in the Masai Mara. The lodge self is in a great elevated position within the park and has wonderful views. The staff and service was excellent and the food was also good. it was so nice to see lots of animals and wildlife from your bedroom. The only negatives would be that the room which was no.60 was very small. There was a large bed but very little space to walk around the room and there was no Aircon and a fridge would’ve been useful.

Rooms are really good but small. And most importantly, the water bottles they provide are useless. They don't open and the lid breaks. If by chance you are lucky to open them, there's no way you can close it. So you have to finish 750 ml water immediately. When I complained it to the reception, they said you can't get better bottles so I had to buy bottles of water and keep them in the room. When you are spending so much, you expect something better.

My husband and I stayed for two nights in April 2024. The Good: The location is the best thing about this lodge. It is inside the Mara Triangle, and perched on top of a hill overlooking an amazing savanna. The food is good, with Western and Indian choices, and the architecture and design was stunning. The service was decent, and the staff were all friendly. The bed was comfortable and large (which is surprising for such a small room) and the views were to die for. The Bad: The room was sweltering our second night there. There is a fan that has been attached to the top of the head of the bed, which does nothing, really. It was like we had no fan since the most it can do is move the net at the bottom of the bed, rather than hitting the bed's occupants with a cool breeze. Suffice to say, we did not enjoy our second night, even though we slept like babies the first night. Weather plays a big part in how well you sleep. - I highly recommend this lodge re-think where they have placed their fans, because it's just wasting electricity for no reason. The Wi-Fi works either really well or not at all. It's inconsistent. Very very low water pressure, but the hot water worked fine, and even though the shower area was small, the bathroom was clean. The Unique: The location is perfect! The design of the entire lodge was creative and had a sense of fun to it.

Couldn't be better. The Mara Serena is beautiful itself and offers breathtaking views of the Mara and the Serengeti from each and every room, lobby, terrace and the pool. Natural beauty is everywhere. In addition, the food is consistently excellent, the staff generous and very helpful, the amenities lovely. In addition to all the classics, the bar offers some great local drinks.
