I had a fantastic stay at Mara Serena! The food was consistently delicious with a great variety at every meal. The rooms were very comfortable, well-maintained, and spotlessly clean — a perfect retreat after a long day out in the wild. The views from the lodge are stunning, and the entire experience truly captures the magic of the Masai Mara. From game drives to the warm hospitality of the staff, everything was top-notch. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy the best of nature without compromising on comfort.

I will start with what I loved most The staff are the best I’ve ever seen It’s like I’m home They’re extremely homley It felt like home It’s like a livelihood It was so nice♥️ I surely will visit again and again The serene is also awesome it’s a beautiful break from the norms I enjoyed it The Game drive is relaxing and I also loooooved how I’d see some small cute animals as I headed to my room♥️

We were here in October and flew in again for a New Year's Eve party. We were greeted by manager Kathurima Mburugu along with his assistant Mary Waceke. Mary arranged for us to stay in the smallest detail. We were picked up from Jomo Kenyatta airport and taken to Nairobi Serena Hotel. After breakfast we were transported to Wilson Airport, from where we flew to Masai Mara. The New Year's Eve party was great, we danced for a few hours. The next few days are a constant safari and admiring the magnificent landscapes and animals. Despite the tall grass, we easily met the big five. Ten nights passed and we set off on a journey back. We are planning another visit and we encourage all nature lovers to visit Mara Serena Safari Lodge. You won't regret it.

Very disappointing. Tiny rooms with basic facilities. No USB/USB-c sockets or air conditioning. Bright decor, huge bed and a lovely view however! Coffee machine & 2 bottles of water provided. Cheap quality toiletries and poor lighting throughout the grounds made it difficult to navigate the outdoor steps to the main hotel facilities. I don’t think it would suit anyone with mobility problems. So far, poor food. Lots of salad, but the rest is uninspiring.

My husband and I stayed at the Mara Serena Safari Lodge for 2 nights during our honeymoon in Kenya and we had an amazing experience! The bed was decorated for our honeymoon and the staff brought us a delicious cake our first night to celebrate! All of the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We stayed at 3 other hotels on our trip, and this was by far the best one. We loved the pool area, and it was a huge bonus that it was heated. We enjoyed the sauna in the gym/spa area as well. The hotel is beautiful, and we loved the layout. Our room was so cute and had a great view of the Masai Mara. We loved seeing the baboons and other little animals around the hotel and appreciated that the rooms were incredibly clean with no bugs. The hotel also has wonderful experiences we were able to add to our trip. We did the hippo breakfast, which was a highlight of our trip. The food was delicious, and my husband even got to try flipping the eggs! And the hippos were so cool to see! We also did the romantic starlit dinner, which was phenomenal. We received multiple courses of food, and it was such a beautiful set up. Overall, we LOVED our experience here and highly recommend this hotel!

My first time in Kenya and I definitely chose the right place. The lodge was incredibly beautiful with amazing views and location. The airstrip is a 5 minute drive away, giving easy access. Plus the staff were so friendly and extremely helpful, be it Juma the game drive guide/driver, the people at the reception or Edwin the server at the restaurant. The rooms were clean, excellent facilities and the restaurant had delicious food. The Hippo Pool breakfast and night game drives are a must do! A must visit!

Our room at the Mara Serena was quite comfortable. We had a sitting area and our room overlooked the savannah with great sunrises. We did a balloon ride from this hotel, which was great. They offer a hippo breakfast which is very good. One area where the hotel could improve was the food. Luckily they have a pasta station, as that is what I primarily ate.
