Spending a night in a room fully decorated with Cinnamoroll—would it be worth it?
I expected it would be, and so I booked the Cinnamoroll character room at Novotel Suites Ambassador Yongsan.
My child was even happier than I had imagined, and we were able to enjoy a truly relaxing time together.
The swimming pool was a bit small, but since there weren’t many people at the time we used it, we were able to enjoy a peaceful swim.
The food package included in the Cinnamoroll room package was perfect for our hungry post-swim time. It tasted great and came with pizza, steak, salad, and drinks—an excellent combination.
However, despite booking for two adults and one child, the room was only prepared for two people in terms of towels, slippers, and bottled water. That lack of attention to detail was a bit disappointing.
Also, the robe and plush toy provided as part of the Cinnamoroll amenities weren’t packed in anything, which made them inconvenient to carry.
It would be great if the hotel could consider things more from the guest's perspective.

I stayed here for a night out in Seoul with a close friends from high school, and his wife meeting up in Asia. As always, when staying at the Grand Hyatt, you end up not having a “night out” but rather a “night in” because the amenities at the hotel are spectacular. The live band in the lobby bar, the pool turned into the Girbaud ice skating rink, amazingly cooked steakhouse, the indoor pool, etc etc. We had a great night, and once again, when staying at any Grand Hyatt, you never know who you’ll run into. On this occasion, we had run into solo artist/actor Mr Henry Lau, also from Super Junior, and was he was not only kind enough to take a quick photo with my friend’s wife, but I messed up the photo—and after learning I had bumbled the photo during her opportunity to meet one of her k-pop idols—was willing to take another entire series of photos.
The staff ended up helping me with a medical emergency in the middle of the night and stayed very calm during the entire process. Which I will also report to the company directly.
When traveling to Korea—Seoul, Jeju, etc. and anywhere abroad I often stay at the Grand Hyatt in the King Corner Suite. Such a beautiful room, but on this occasion it was just a normal King River view on 9F. A bit small for 3 people, but they made a sofa bed for me while I gave the couple the bed since I only grabbed the room for us (me) for a few hours before I head back to Wuhan—allowing my friends to enjoy the hotel to themselves after I departed. Easy checkout process for them. It was very nice.
Will definitely be back.
Grand Hyatt <3 !
The hotel was clean, tidy and comfortable. The room was a great size and the bed was super comfy. Breakfast was great with lots of options. The metro is literally next door to the hotel and was perfect for travelling to different parts soul.
Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Well decor is absolutely stunning. Check in was quick. Put us on 12th floor,as soon as we got off elevator strong dog urine smell. Like a wall that hits you! You see dog pee along the walls(I'll post pic). Room on smaller side, mattress is comfy and soft. 4 pillows, bathroom had pee stains along the walls and corners, and it did smell like urine (I'll post pic).Shower head was broken had to ask for it to be replaced.Location is OK,15min walk to Itaewon road where all the restaurants & bars and Subway, bus stop right outside so not too bad. Taxis are pretty cheap in Seoul. Never ordered room service since restraints all around. Tried their sauna 3000₩ per person. Nothing special, waste of $$$. Indoor pool is pretty. Outdoor pool is nice as well. Never made it to rooftop. Would I say again, most likely not. Would prob stay somewhere more central like Financial district.
fantastic stay, great big and clean room.
nice view of the city and even the N Seoul Tower.
service was good but have to call concierge regarding clening up of room.
location is slightly far from the nearest Yongsan train station (about 10mins walk). Yongsan station is connected to I'park mall which have many of the big shopping brands.
overall it's worth the price that we paid for.

Locationwise very good, central to subway Cityhall and close to shops and restaurants.
Service by reception also very good 👍
However. Disappointed by apartment unit, i feel its style over practicality. The unit is very narrow and does not have a lot of space. Why put in a indoor ‘garden’ over a seating/sofa area in front of the tv?
Beds are hard and not very comfortable, the AC unit was not consistent and blowing cold air during sleep.
Not a lot of cupboards and no hooks for storage.
Family of 4 was struggling with available space which is intended for 6 persons.

I chose GLOCALOCA for the last night of the trip. Because the hotel is in a first-class location. It is directly connected to the subway (City Hall Station Exit 3 and 6) and the airport bus. We arrived at Gwanghwamun and Cheonggyecheon Stream in 5-10 minutes. The room is larger than average. The cleanliness is good . Comes with basic facilities.
The front desk on the 20th floor does not always have a waiter. I happened to meet a local person who helped contact the staff to check in.
Share kitchen provides tea, coffee and instant noodles. The hotel is like a hotel. The uncle at the front desk speaks good English and is enthusiastic. He wears many hats. Some are the front desk, some are cleaning the rooms, and some are doing maintenance...
We originally asked for a brown massage chair in the room. But the hotel said that the chair is no longer available. The picture is out of date. Now there is only one in the share office that can be shared. But the room given to us has a massage bed... which is another special experience.

I got a room without windows… due to winter… no aircon… only useless blower or heater…so hot till cannot sleep… in the end I open the door to let corridor air to flow in…
Remote control all in Korea language… in the end I just anyhow press the switches… at least a card show the switch layout in English.
Room is small, no shaver, no toothbrush, no comb, no body lotion… the excuses they give is government law… if like this … they can give upon request…the hotel management just want to earn more money from customers .
Hotel near City Hall Station…travel easy… hotel near to Koreana Hotel…

Location is amazing, but the hotel is incredibly old. The amenities are also minimal. I would have preferred paying just a bit more to stay at a Marriott in the same location. Unfortunately, We were also woken up to loud singing at 3am from City hall on a Saturday.

Hotel was great in many sense
- location just next to City Hall station
- enthusiastic, helpful bellboys who would take the initiative to help
- very clean rooms, large bathroom
- view of the City Hall from my room was great
- my room didn't have enough space to open luggage bags on the floor unless you move away the heavy chairs
There was just one thing I couldn't understand. I arrived at the hotel at about 2.50pm. They told me that check in time is 3pm. So I thought maybe we can do the registration first, but get the keys at 3pm, which is what other hotels do when I've arrived earlier than the check in time. But I was told that they can only start processing the registration at 3pm.
As we checked out on NYE, the hotel was fully booked, so they were not able to allow us late check out even by an hour. But this, I can understand.
