Seoul Mapo-gu 4-star Hotels

The hotel location was very near the hongaik university mrt exit. The hotel decoration is very trendy and instagramable. The hotel check in was supposed to be at 1500 but when I arrived at 4pm I still had to wait till 5pm to finally check into my room. The staff gave me some local snacks as an apology. The cleanliness of the room was good. Check out was also easy. The buffet breakfast provided was good quality for the price I pay.

I cannot stress the convenience of the location enough. The airport bus stops right in front of the hotel. Mapo subway is a short walk away. The buses in front of the hotel connects you to many locations inclining myeongdong. 711 is next to the hotel. Olive young is directly opposite. Food options easily available. 24hour bunsikjip across the road. I really appreciate the housekeeping leaving a big bag of clean towels and water outside my room because I had the DND displayed. It was a nice gesture after being out the entire day and coming back at night to this.

My family and I stayed here for two nights, and I highly recommend this hotel because its convenient location, kind+hospital service, and outstanding facility. Also, the breakfast at the hotel was absolutely outstanding. The food was high quality, and the employees were super professional! I would absolutely stay here again when I visit Seoul next time. Very comfortable stay especially the bed and pillow are good for sleep, water is strong for shower which is very nice. The room interior design is contemporary and minimalist. The staffs are very friendly and helpful , the location is good with walking distance to Hongdae street & restaurants and also direct stop if you are taking airport bus to Hongdae which is very convenient. We had a lovely stay with MERCURE Hongdae, will definitely come back again.

Shilla Stay Mapo is strategically situated less than a 5-minute walk from Gongdeok Station / Mapo Station, providing easy access to public transportation. Its proximity to various restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores makes it an ideal choice for travelers looking to explore the local culinary scene. Additionally, popular attractions like Hongdae and Gyeongbokgung Palace are just a short drive away. 7-11 is just right next to hotel's 1/F back entrance, very convenient for emergency snack boost and water supply. Cons will be: bed is a bit too soft, not suitable for everyone.

The hotel is conveniently located with direct access to the airport bus. The rooms are spacious, especially the toilet and bathroom, which are clean and roomy, featuring a bathtub for soaking. There are many eateries nearby, including several BBQ restaurants that offer good value for money with decent quality. The hotel also houses a large coffee chain on the ground floor, ideal for breakfast or afternoon tea. However, the gym's size is disappointingly small!

👍 The online photos of the room are authentic. 👍 Convenient location. 👍 The room is clean and comfortable. 👍 There is a computerised self-service check-in and check-out system.  👍 Lobbies offer a blend of aesthetics and functionality, with spaces that cater to diverse activities. 💪🏼 The refrigerator is too thin to use. Approximately the depth of an iPhone. 🥲 The only picky thing is the pillow, the pillow is too soft still those outdated styles, sleeping not comfortably enough.

The hotel is located near a small business district at Sangam, hence this hotel would be pretty suitable for Business Travellers. It is still pretty convenient to get around to places like Hongdae, Jongno and other places in Central Seoul as there were alot of buses in the vicinity. There's a town bus that stops right infront of the hotel that brings you to the nearest subway station (Digital Media City - which has multiple subway lines) in just a couple of stops, and the airport bus station is just right behind the hotel. Overall it was a really comfortable experience!

The overall stay was okay as the room was decent. However, 4 star hotel but need to pay for toothbrush and no shaver. Need to pay ridiculous amount for each hour early check in, no flexibility whatsoever. There’s no shower facilities for guest that reach early or want to shower after check out. Also hotel is really not close to the subway exit it’s like a 10 mins walk. With luggages quite long.
