Hotels in Myeong-dong, Seoul

During our 8-day stay at Hotel the Botanik Myeongdong in South Korea, we were thoroughly impressed with its prime location, making it easy to explore the vibrant streets of Myeongdong. The accessibility to public transportation was a major highlight, allowing us to travel seamlessly around the city. We appreciated the daily room service and the regular supply of fresh towels, which added a touch of luxury to our stay. The in-room slippers were a thoughtful addition, providing comfort after long days of sightseeing, and the complimentary bottled water ensured we stayed refreshed. Overall, our experience at the hotel was delightful. I would highly recommend it to travelers seeking convenience and comfort.

Room is spacious enough for us, family of 3 (with a 2 year old). There is a double and single bed, so we can sleep comfortably. The toilet is also wide enough. There is a small pantry with a sink, a stove and a microwave. Cutleries are also provided. With a huge fridge and freezer. There is also a small sitting area for eating. The location is great in Chungmuro station with access to line 4 and line 3 just down the corner. There is a GS25, Starbucks, Paris Baguette nearby. Dong Dae Mun and Myeong Dong is just one stop away. Namsangol Village is just a short walk away. The amenities are also great, with luggage locker, self check in, refillable coffee and tea bags every day. Daily cleaning is also provided. The only drawback is that the lifts tend to be a bit slow, but if you plan your trip accordingly, it should not be an issue.

The hotel is wonderful, out of my expectation . The room is clean , front desk are very kindness, I just stay for one night, it is very relax and comfortable stay! Will looking forward to stay again next time. The room is very nice, really like the window near bed. Even I was not available to get a NamSan tower side room, but still very nice to looking at the 北岳山🥰！ thank you for giving me a warm stay.

Everything was good. The location. The room. There is a 24*7 convenience store downstairs. There is a machine to change currency or recharge transit card. There are options to book airport taxi or to train station. Euljiro 3 station for Line 2 and 3 is only 7-8 mins walking. There are several cafes, bakeries and restaurants around the hotel. Seoul N tower and Namsan park is also within walking distance. Seoul station is also 10-15 mins by taxi and if there is no luggage or less luggage then one can even walk there while enjoying the streets of Seoul. The hotel is new (2013) and we had a view of the tower and the Namsan mountain from the room. Myeongdong shopping street is also around 10 mins walk. There is a nice rooftop bar and restaurant on the 18th floor.

Although my stay was limited to just one night, I had a truly excellent experience. The hotel's location is its major asset, situated right in the energetic heart of Myeongdong, which made immediate exploration and access to dining and shopping incredibly convenient. Everything about the stay was great, from the efficient check-in to the clean and comfortable room. It was a perfect, seamless stopover, and I would highly recommend it for both short and long trips.

We had a truly enjoyable stay at Merlin Hotel. The hotel combines comfort, convenience, and excellent service, making it a wonderful choice for travelers. Its location is very convenient, allowing easy access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and public transport. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The facilities were modern and practical, ensuring both relaxation and convenience. What really stood out was the warmth and professionalism of the staff—they were always ready to assist with a smile and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. We would highly recommend Merlin Hotel to anyone visiting South Korea and look forward to staying there again in the future.

The hotel is located at very quiet location (private street) but easy access to Myeongdong or City hall train station. There are a lot of restaurants surrounding and convenient stores (emart & 7-11). There is twosome and ediya nearby too. The hotel room size is comfortable and spacious. The room has bathtubs, shower area and toilet all partition properly. The only downside is the pillows are too soft and I have to stack 3 together. The room comes with air purify and aircon is cold enough for the summer weather. Overall satisfy with the stay and will consider coming back again.

The hotel is super close to the subway station, and there's an elevator that goes directly up to street level. If you're coming from the airport, I honestly recommend taking the airport shuttle. The subway involves too many transfers, and lugging luggage up and down stairs would be a real pain! City Hall Station has two subway lines, and Line 2 is the best and most convenient, covering most major attractions. The hotel's cleanliness and service are excellent, and having dining options and convenience stores right downstairs is incredibly convenient. Overall, it offers great value for money!

The hotel is located at a very good and convenient spot. For families which require lift, do go to exit 1 opposite the hotel near to diaso. There isn’t a sheltered walkway to the hotel. But there are lots of food nearby and it is a very nice hotel. Room is slightly small but still acceptable. Overall a nice stay!

Great hotel location with direct airport limousine 6001 stopping right in front of the hotel. There is also Hoehyeon subway station right below the hotel on Line 4 with 1 stopping from Myeondong in one direction and Seoul Station on the other side. It’s opposite Namdaemum Market and at the bottom of Namsan Hill. It’s a short walk to Myeongdong shopping district via the underground station fully connected.  The room is clean and well maintained. It has a few restaurants right inside the hotel building and a convenient store next to the lift lobby.
