Myeongdong Merlin Hotel

The service from the receptionist was amazing, they can speak english and nihon too. The location is strategic, from Chungmuro station just walk straight to reach the hotel, but if you have huge luggages just walk out from the exit opposite to exit 8 because it has escalator while exit8 only stairs, then just cross the road to reach the hotel. The room was clean with enough amenities. I forgot to take the picture inside our room as we were too tired and we only stayed for a night. But the view was worth it and the room was enough for 3 adults. However one thing lacking was the heater inside the room especially during winter, we struggled to switch it on and just let the floor heating up instead of the whole room. And the washing machine cannot be used. Otherwise, we had a pleasant stay.

I would like to thank the front desk team, given us such great hospitality and helping us where to go in Seoul. The hotel we stay facing Namsam Tower mountains view and is close by train station in Chungmuro exit 4,Myeong-dong, Namdemum Market and many more close by train. We stayed 7 nights, but unfortunately, the room has a washing machine and is not working sadly. We have to do manually washing by ourselves. Overall, we had lovely days in Seoul and highly recommended staying in Merlin Hotel.

The position of the hotel is good but the equipments are not fully work.

What a surprise, fridge is wardrobe. I can climb and feel young.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly,the hotel is well situated to the metro,with lots of shops and restaurants nearby, and the room was quite spacious and clean,the only thing letting it down is that it the room was a little dated and needs refurbishing.

We stayed here only for a few nights but there were moments which were a bit difficult. Check in was really easy and the staff was very kind. When we got to the room it was kind of surprising tho. Washing machine was broken (but it had a big fridge which was a bit difficult to find at first). Surprisingly the room had a high ceiling and a second floor! The bathroom has a glass door (but its milky glass so you cannot see through!!!!) but you could not lock up the door and there were small gaps next to the door which was a bit uncomfortable… i imagine it to be a bit awkward to travel with friends since everything can be heard outside of the bathroom. And the mirror had some interesting stains… The bed could also be a bit difficult for people who cannot sleep on hard mattresses but i could sleep well. The pillows made kind of plastic sound when laying on it but also nothing too bad. There are no nightstands or outlets right next to the bed where you could easily charge your phone but across the room there were enough outlets! Next to the bed was the big window where you could see the Namsan Tower which was very nice! But the windows were quite dirty and it was really cold because the windows did not isolate the cold outside very well (we stayed in February). Even when we closed the curtains it was a bit cold… The floor was pretty warm but since the room was so spacious it was difficult for the heating to warm up the room. We got new towels everyday but one towel was a bit torn… trash also got thrown out everyday which was really nice. Location was great! It was really close to line 2,3,4 and 5. And in the Lobby there was access to a kitchen which was very convenient.
