Location is great and accessible. Counter service crew can communicated a little in English and if you are particular about a customer should enter/exit the lift first, over here, the service crew May sometimes forget about that and enter/exit first - I left my card in the hotel room and called for help but I don’t really care who entered the lift first. Nevertheless the service crew was polite and would strike conversation with you in the lift. Ask them what to eat, they’ll gladly recommend. I had nice raw beef (first time in my life I’m eating raw beef meat) thanks to the service crew.
The room smelled heavily bleached when I entered. The sound proofing wasn’t good, I could hear the construction, the cleaner outside and sometimes the early preparation from the restaurant downstairs (I was on the tenth floor). The lights were very dimmed and it’s hard to put on make up for ladies. The cleaner would changed my bedsheet, towels and clean the room everyday as well.
Foods are easy to find and are all around the corners. At around evening, there will even be a lot of ajuma’s and ajusi’s cart selling street food just downstairs. Transport wasn’t a problem at all. The location of this hotel is at the Center of Insadong, Changyeongung, Gyeongbokgung, Bukchon Hanok Village (and a lot more Hanok Villages), Myeongdong streets and a lot other tourist attraction.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay with is location and service.
Oh, and yes the bed was hard.
