Sinchon Localfriends Hotel

I can’t believe what had happened last night with this booking in this hotel. I received a message from the hotel at around 9pm and was told the self-check-in kiosk was out of service so please contact with them. Then as I arrived the hotel entrance, I found out my NAME and ROOM NO. was printed out placing in public. How could you do that… that is my personal information! I did not receive any message about the passcode of entering the entrance and could only follow the others entering the hotel (had contacted with those QR code provided but did not receive a response immediately). And there was the most serious problem here, my room door was opened as the photo taken with my room key just casually in used inside the room. What the h***, so the others could actually enter my room freely before my arrival. Excuse me, kiosk breaking down was your problem but not mine. I could not even stay a night in the end due to safety problem and just checked out around 12am. Luckily I got my friends staying in the other hotel or I did not really know how to find another room in the late night. I request for a refund for this booking.

The hotel is located on an up slope. Lugging luggages is difficult. Hotel though small but equipped with laundry machine n kitchen necessary. Totally self checkin but not an issue, just follow instructions on checkin machine. Checkout to return room cards also do same way via machine. Email hotel prior to request early checkin but insisted only at 6pm but when checkin was 3pm!

I was quite satisfied with my stay at Sinchon Localfriends Hotel. The property has a clean, modern design and seems to have been built or renovated fairly recently. My room was on the smaller side, but it was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly suitable for a solo traveler. The location is convenient — just a short walk from the subway station and main bus routes. While Sinchon doesn’t feel quite as lively as it used to, there are still plenty of restaurants, cafés, and bars nearby. One unique aspect is that this is a unmanned or self-service hotel, meaning there’s no front desk staff. Check-in and check-out are handled through a machine at the entrance, and there’s self-service luggage storage available just outside. During my four-night stay, the room wasn’t cleaned, and I couldn’t find a way to request cleaning service — though since I was out most of the time, this didn’t bother me. Overall, Sinchon Localfriends Hotel is a modern, convenient, and good-value choice for solo travelers, and I’d definitely consider staying here again on future visits to Seoul.

Location wise is good walking distance to train station and nearby got eateries convenient store and olive young. Basic amenities all available except that only 1 bath towel provided. It would be better if can provide more bath towel if staying for a few nights.

Good clean place near Sinchon station. Cons maybe that nobody would be on check-in, but I was lucky to meet friendly lady who works in hotel and helped me to check in. Also tiny lift, but for me was OK. I like this place.
