The Stay Classic Hotel Myeongdong Reviews

There is a bus stop and subway station right outside the hotel. It is very convenient for our family. Although the room is a little small, it is very good inside. There is a washing machine for washing clothes and a dryer. The toilet is a little ordinary and small, but overall it is ok to stay in.

Good location with variety of food selection. Hotel is clean with necessary and good amenities. Happy staying at this hotel!

Room is small, shower area is combined with toilet (will be wet after showering). Lifts are slow. Service at the receptionist (encountered by the rooms manager) was subpar and unwelcoming. Only given a pillow each (too soft) and unable to get a second pillow. Was brushed off by saying there is no extras.. not a good experience and wont be back.

The room was quite spacious but the toilet is really pathetic. You are practically standing beside the toilet bowl while bathing and the whole toilet bowl will be wet. No space to put clothes in the toilet except the little hanger for towels. The balcony is practically useless (no views, no tables/chairs) except using the only metal thing that is fixed in to dry our clothes. (See photo) There are two basin in the room. One is round one is rectangular. The round basin in our room emitted terrible sewage smell when you are standing near it. It didn’t bother us much as the smell wasn’t that strong. But on our last day it filled the whole room with the smell. We didn’t informed the reception. We only pressed the stopper of the basin and filled it with some water and the smell is gone after. The worst thing about the room was the bed. It was hard, as if there are no foam just spring pockets. The pillows was too soft and has caused shoulder and neck pain for my partner and me. As i read in other reviews about the pillow, i did not asked for another one. For the price, i feel its not worth to stay here as they don’t offer many things as mentioned in other reviews.

Top location just in front of Namdaemun market, few step from airport limousine bus stop, and 10 minutes walk from Meyeong Dong. Room very clean. The receptionists very kind.

The room is clean and best for 2 people . It’s near to Namsan Seoul tower

Location is very convenient. Hotel has no frills. Just have amneties that is required which is good. Only room n toilet is very small.

Air conditioner was set to 18 degrees with max fan speed but room was till warm and not cold

I had an excellent stay at The Stay Classic Hotel Myeongdong. The hotel smells wonderful upon entry and is perfectly located between Namdaemun and Myeongdong shopping streets. The room was cozy, featuring a handy washing machine and dryer. Numerous restaurants and convenience stores are nearby, and the airport bus stop is just steps away. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was our first time in Seoul Korea with the family of three and we had booked the queen with two twin beds. We thought it was adequate for our family as we were able to lay out suitcases on the extra bed. It was walkable to myoeung dong. If u need glasses u can walk to this optical called Davichi and get glasses the same day. Save lots compared to back home in North America.

Clean and great location for Seoul. We stayed in a family room, and the layout could have been planned out a lot better. The beds took almost all the space in the room. A bunk bed would have been a better solution. Also, only one light control for the entire room.
