Pugdundee Safaris - Pench Tree Lodge

Staying at the lodge has been like living a dream. Deep in the forest but all comfort imaginable. Highly recommend to visit Pench national park. The naturalist guides are highly skilled and the personnel vary welcoming and friendly. Don't miss it!

Pench Tree Lodge, operated by Pugdundde Safaris. absolutely fantastic. The safari tours of the respective national parks were amazing. Every last detail was considered. Staff was friendly and helpful. They worked so hard to make the trip perfect. Special shout out to Omkar and Pench. He treated like his own vacation. Worked so hard to find all the animals we could see.

Amazing experience , place is just awesome . Staff is highly polite and professional. Heaven for nature lovers! A place which truly imbibes sustainability! Food is lip-smacking something that just stands out during the stay !

We spent 4 great nights at Tree House #4. The treehouse is well appointed with a great bathroom with a hot shower ( took less than 10 minutes to get hot water once you turned on the switch for the water heater). Shampoo, conditioner and lotion are provided in glass bottles. There is a lovely porch overlooking the jungle. My first afternoon there were monkeys on the tree in front of our treehouse. There is a station for tea and coffee, plenty of water flasks in the entry way. There are ceiling fans and AC in the treehouse. The treehouse was kept clean and there was a turndown done while you were at dinner. You never saw hospitality staff while you were in the treehouse. There is a phone in the room should you need any additional towels etc. service was prompt when we called for anything. The beds are big and comfortable, and when staff did turndown at night, a mosquito net was set up. Lunch and dinner was very good and there was a farm dinner one night with dishes from the immediate region. While the chef always came by at lunch and went over dinner menu and always checked if you wanted anything different than the dinner planned. There was a large variety of items on the menu. I always left very full from the meals. Breakfast in the park also had plenty of variety. The chef also inquired if you have any dietary restrictions and was very accommodating of any restrictions or requests. Majority of the vegetables and herbs are grown on the property and those that aren’t are sourced locally. The reason we were there was to see animals, specifically tigers and leopards and the park did not disappoint. Our naturalist Shiv was amazing. He knew animal behavior well and would predict which direction the cats were going to move. We had 7 tiger and 4 leopard sightings. Additionally lots of other animals and birds. The landscape of the park is beautiful. The mornings are a little chilly and blankets were provided. You are greeted with a warm towel to clean up and a refreshing drink when you get back from safari. There are a fair number of steps to get to the treehouse and it is a much longer walk to the tree houses than the cottages, so if you have any mobility issues, I’d opt for a cottage. Service throughout the lodge was great. I would love to go back for a visit

Pugdundee is like a family to me now. This was my second visit to Tree Lodge and the experience bench mark and hospitality standard are the way have been. Chef Gaurav indulged us with his interesting and delicious menu's and made it a point to have a conversation on our choices for the next day including carry on breakfast for safari. The dining staff ensured that we are looked after and we enjoy the food and surroundings by being present but still not present. Safari with Radhey sir was an experience, his knowledge and experience makes him the "boss". Last time, leopards were on the show, this time Tigers came to front. More specifically my friends who were doing this for the first time enjoyed the overall experience and hospitality of Pugdundee. A big thank you to entire team for accommodating request for add on in safari or arranging pick up from Nagpur at a short notice. We were pampered and were happy to be with people who are to me are my friends and family
