When I checked in, the staff was not welcoming at all and it took a while (15mins although there was no line at the lobby) to get help to check in. And then at check-in we were told there would be an issue with the AC because of the warm weather (like 90F definitely not 100F) and if water drips from the AC and the ceiling around it so much they will bring the towel to the room and the situation will be better at night. I was frustrated but at that time, my family and I were already so exhausted and it was obviously too late to change the plan with all hotels in the area booked out in advance. And yes the THE WHOLE FLOOR WAS FLOODED EVEN DURING NIGHT and I needed to request bunch of towels several times and kept wiping the floor. And WORST PART WAS THAT THE ROOM WAS NOT BEING COOLED IN SUMMER NIGHT. I paid like $700 per night to stay there. This is not the service I expect paying like this. And if room has a serious problem, they should have given me different room or let me know in advance so I can cancel booking. I sent an email to them after coming back from vacation and they KEEP SAYING it's NATURAL to have that issue (Come on. I have never had that issue in my life no matter how warm it is !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They should have maintained facility better and if there is an issue, they need to fix it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). According to them SINCE ALL OTHER CUSTOMERS UNDERSTOOD THAT (so what??? should i just shut up crying????) they cannot do any action. They offered they are going to send a small gift (what gift???? name it!) if I agree or in the future, if I stay there there will be some discount (of course I don't want to stay there in the future). This kind of customer service attitude is not expected even from a mass market producer, not to mention the hospitality industry. The A/C problem and the way the hotel has handled it has ruined my family reunion and I highly recommend to avoid this hotel at all cost.

Very good hotel! The environment is beautiful. The hotel has a path that leads directly to the beach. Because the hotel is on a cliff, there are many and steep steps. But it’s very convenient~ The hotel's service is very good, the staff speaks English very well and is very easy to communicate with! In addition, you can take bus 600 directly from the airport to the hotel, which is very convenient. I like the Chinese area very much and will stay there next time~

We spend a wonderful couple of weeks here in the Summer. Jeju is a truly beautiful tropical paradise and the GoldOne Hotel a hidden jewel in the south of the island, near to Seogwipo. Highlights included: - the distinctive architecture - this really is a Golden building inside and out which matched our holiday mood; - the peacefulness, with stunning views over the sea to the south of Jeju, including two islands; - the jacuzzi/bath on the balcony of our (spacious and impeccably maintained) room, which enabled us to unwind while enjoying that view; - the breakfast buffet selection, including the croffle maker (which I see another guest has featured!); - the heated swimming pool, which has its benefits even on a summer evening, and would be perfect in the autumn / winter; - my children (15, 13, 10) also loved the games rooms, and the signposted Secret Garden walk, as well as the many recommendations from the reception staff for activities and places to visit in the area. As for negatives - well we had to eventually come back to the UK!

It’s a great hotel for a staycation with kids. The (indoor/outdoor) pool is fun and the theme park is a good way to entertain them for a few hours. The rooms are lovely and my kids think the TVs in the bathtub are amazing. The restaurant selection isn’t huge but is adequate and fairly diverse. The few things I would say: 1) the pool is free to guests, but you have to book it and can only go once a day. You can’t eat inside the pool area and if your kids need a snack - tough luck. You can’t return. Bit chintzy. 2) the surface of the shallow kiddie pool outside I guess is meant to look like a beach but it’s very painful and sharp. So, no one uses it - especially kids. It’s a pity because then there’s really only a kids pool inside. They need to take the time during the winter to resurface that one little section. It was a bummer for my youngest. 3) it’s ridiculous to charge kids 35K for breakfast when all they eat is a bowl of cereal. I regret that and would just grab breakfast at one of the many cafes or bakeries under the hotel - just as good for 1/4 the cost. The breakfast is nice but a rip off unless you are able to gorge yourself. 4) I wish they’d made some small gesture for my daughter, as they knew we were there for her birthday weekend. Even a small gesture would have made her so happy. I do like the hotel overall, though, and these are just things to make it even better.

In local hotels, except for the front desk personnel who can speak English, the restaurants and operators also don’t speak English very well, so communication is quite difficult. It may be because of the typhoon. I heard the sound of strong wind blowing all night, and I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't sleep. In addition, this hotel does not provide slippers, it is the tatami style, but the floor does not feel very clean. The next morning, the whole floor is foggy and wet because of the temperature difference, which is very uncomfortable. Korean hotels basically charge for extra pillows. If you add more than 4 bottles of water, you will need to add money.

The journey from Jeju International airport to this resort took about almost 90 minutes. However, once you enter the area and step-in to the lobby, I knew there's something special about this place, the world around you suddenly stop and built an atmosphere to tell you “it’s time to relax and enjoy your time here”. My detailed review follows: 1) Location: Located in Seogwipo which is the south end of Jeju-do island, mind you it's far from the airport. One-way taxi from airport straight to the hotel would cost about 50,000 won. The bus to Seogwipo town would cost around 2,000 - 3,000 won, I can continue to take another bus and stop at the resort gate but I prefer taxi from the Seogwipo town to the hotel for 7,000 - 8,000 won. Either you go by taxi or bus, the duration is about 80 - 90 minutes. The resort is located in a cliff area, so don't expect a nice beach, but the view is amazing. Also there's a walking track in front of the hotel that connects to Oedolgae rocks. I did the walk and it's beautiful especially if you have a clear day. As I have mentioned before, if you need groceries, the town center is just 10 mins away by taxi or bus. There's e-mart, McDonalds, Starbucks, also pharmacy. 2) Lobby/Reception: Unlike typical check-in process, we asked to be seated in their comfy lobby while enjoying South Korean delicacies. Then the reception team will asked our ID and credit card to process our check-in. It doesn't take long but within 5 minutes, they came back to us, explained everything about the resort and facilities, and then one of the associate escorted me to my room. Once in the room, they may come in to our room (you may opt-out for this) and explain all the room features so you don't have to be puzzled figuring out stuff on your own. Overall, it's a pleasant experience. Their open air lobby is just beautiful. The associates will be always there to help with whatever you need. 3) Room: While my suite night awards request is declined, they manage to upgrade me from Deluxe Garden View to Deluxe Ocean View. The room itself is a mixed of South Korean traditional with a bit of modern interior design. It's spacious, comfy, supported with a high-tech toilet seat and modern connectivity. Great lighting and you can set the nice ambient as well as much as you like with the light switch. The shower + tub combination looks great although the water pressure could've been better because it took awhile to fill the bathtub. The view from the balcony area is amazing. There is one design issue (or design flaw?) that can be problematic, the bedside light switch and electric plug are located inside a drawer, I don't know who approved this design. While it looks neat and organized, it become a problem especially when you want to charge your phone/camera/laptop etc. overnight, you cannot close the drawer as the cable/charger head will get in the way and I hurt my knees a few times when I got up for toilet especially at night. I can chose not to charge my s
