The hotel is very well designed and it offers you every comfort that you need. The rooms are spacious and with great interiors, comfortable beds and all you can need for trip. The pool terrace is great to chill out with variety of drinks and cocktails, and the views are the best parts. You feel like you are watching a post card. The pool is not a big one, you barely get to swim around, and it is more to chill down and relax. The coffee and snack bar downstairs offers nice breakfast. It is a bit far away from the main attractions and events, so you better plan to catch some taxi or a public bus.

Perfect stay. Beautiful room, very spacious and had everything we needed. Was more like an apartment with fitted kitchen, small living area etc. was lovely to return to after a busy day, smart tvs so access to Netflix prime Disney etc. rooftop pool was stunning and although small, we always got a sun lounger and parasol. Very relaxing and stylish. We had family in the area so we had access to a car so cannot comment on the immediate area much. Short taxi ride to sliema or Valletta. Use bolt taxi app as cheaper than Uber (about €7) reception staff were lovely and really wanted to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. Very secure hotel. Small cafe in road facing hotel had best English breakfast and very friendly service would 100% recommend a visit. There is a bus stop round side of hotel and I believe Bugiba and mellieha bay are reachable from here, or bolt taxi €28 to ferry for blue lagoon comino island. All in all fantastic place at a brilliant price 😊

Starting with the information - we stayed at So City as a young couple (who arent particularly into nightclubs/bars) to see Matla for the first time over a week. I have given this a 'benefit-of-the-doubt' rating due to the hotel being incredibly new. We picked So City Hotel because of the value, it was incredibly well priced. I'd imagine this is a strategy due to it being so new but it was certainly well worth the price we paid. On to the hotel as a whole - I feel this is definitely aimed toward capturing people coming to Malta for some night life. Its positioned so that no more than 10 seconds from leaving the lobby, you can be in a bar, and their are some nice bars surrounding. That said, we werent there for that - but this location also meant that finding an evening meal, or a quick early night drink was incredibly easy. Exploring the island was also very easy from here, Valletta was a very short journey, and as we had opted to rent a car, there was a carpark about 5 minutes walk away (Pengardens) which is reasonably priced for over night parking, and we never struggled for a space. The room was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect and bedding very soft and comfortable. Our upgraded room was also incredibly spacious. The theming is a nice touch and makes the room a bit more characterful and individual. Staying on the 7th floor, there was minimal noise at night, altough id be concerned if we needed to keep the window open.... The black out curtains were also amazing for keep the room dark for a little bit of extra sleep. Constructive criticism for the room would be: The shower tempurture is difficult - the hottest setting is insanely hot (my other half loves hot showers but this was too much for her also) and it wouldnt go cold, just cooler, it also seemed to get colder through out the shower and you found yourself adjusting. There is not a lot of storage at all for longer stays. This is perhaps a by product of it feeling aimed towards 'nightlifers' who might stop 3 nights or so. I would perhaps ask reception for additional hangers if you have plenty of clothes for a longer stay. The mini fridge, altough useful, is not big enough to put larger water bottles in, which can be annoying. The aircon unit is situated in a place which means it blows directly at the bed. I tried to play with the control but there was no way to adjust it that I could find. Im trying to cool the room, not refridgerate myself. The timer on the aircon also didnt seem to work, so setting it the blow for 30 mins whilst i went to sleep just didnt seem to work. The TV is not a full smartTV which is a shame. Just channels and an internet browser, which are never nice to navigate around.... On to other notes: Breakfast is just what you need. Its not an all out buffett where there is everything you could dream of, but there is more than enough and a few items cycle so you can expect a slightly different breakfast each morning. Really lovely hotel. Clean. Great location. Close enough to all the great attractions and shops but far enough from all the noise so you still get a great night's sleep. Fantastic service from everyone at Hyatt from the receptionists (Ben and I didn't get the name of the lady who worked with him but I think it may have been Laura?) to the doorman Hoque. My husband and I returned yesterday from room 218 at BWP in Malta. The staff here are a real asset to this hotel, all of the staff but in particular Deepak, Regi and Sofi in the dining room on level 9 - attentive, friendly and super professional ! They were a joy to meet and were one of our many highlights at this hotel. The food was exceptional on the half board a la carte menu with a change in menu every day. Breakfast was plentiful with everything you could want. The hotel has its own pastry chef - enough said !! The hotel is spotlessly clean as is the rooftop pool and bar, this is a lovely area to relax with plenty sunbeds and large umbrellas for cover if needed. We didnt eat at the pool bar but all of the meals which we saw being delivered looked and smelled excellent too. Any request made to Reception is dealt with immediately and nothing is too much trouble for anyone here. Thank you so much BWP, Malta we will definitely return and in fact we are considering another lovely week in the sun here in November.

Nice and modern hotel. Nice and good location right on the promenade. Only downsides were: - poor cleaning of the room - restaurant for breakfast too small for the number of people who came for breakfast and too few staff and too little variety in breakfast

I traveled to Malta alone and chose the Primera Hotel as one of the cheapest options in Malta. In principle, the travel guide says that Valletta is the best place to stay, but I would not agree with this, as it is an hour from St. Paul's Bay to Valletta, an hour to the ferry to Gozo and half an hour to Rabat/Mdina. Excursions such as to the Blue Grotto only go via Valletta and it takes 2 hours by bus. However, you can combine this with a travel route via Valletta or as the last spot before the airport. The hotel was clean, the rooms were more than adequately equipped and for €8 you could book breakfast on site, which was a bit English but had something for everyone. The only thing that could be difficult is being able to eat more than just fruit and bread as a vegan.

Staff are helpful, location is close to beach and Salt Pans. People relying on public transport needa be aware that buses are always coming late, a bit tricky to catch buses in Gozo. Anyhow, the hotel itself is fine, you may tell some areas are dated but you cant ask for too much with this price in this location.
