Brilliant place to stay, the staff were very helpful and the food was amazing. Some people may not like the remoteness of the location. However, we loved it and rented mopeds from the hotel at a reasonable price. Would definitely stay again!

Great

Great isolated location, overlooking every break in the bay but you need to get a car or motorbike to get in and out to town. Facilities are in need of maintenance in a lot of common areas and only part of the Hotel is in use with a large unfinished area barricaded off. We found that there was monkey poop and urine on our balcony which was running off of the roof. Great friendly staff though who are very helpful and food is quite good.

Staying 1 night here was quite impressive, I think the location is good, close to the beach directly, but the access to the hotel is very scary, the roads are damaged, narrow, and the incline is very extreme, but fortunately it was peaceful when I got to the hotel, it wasn't noisy because it was far from the crowds, and I Nice to meet a doggy named Yura, he is very obedient and kind

Hotel located 15 minutes from Kuta beach, it is located in a small fishing village and surf spot. High-rise hotel with breathtaking sea views and direct access to the beach. Competent staff available at all hours. Breakfast served at the table with a wide choice, one of the best breakfasts of our trip to Indonesia. Possibility of renting a scooter (between 90 and 150,000). Room with mezzanine, comfortable for a family of 4 people. Balcony with beach view. Eco-friendly hotel with Indonesian style. Super friendly boss and very available. I highly recommend. Only downside: our taxi refused to accompany us to the front of the hotel because the last 800 meters are a steep climb and poor road. Otherwise apart from this little hiccup we had a superb stay.

By now you’ve probably looked at reviews and all the stunning online photos—as we did. And you’re probably imagining a lush, beautiful, active lifestyle boutique resort with healthy Ayurvedic food, surf beaches lapping the shore and a yoga studio. This image couldn’t be more wrong. Picture instead a bus stop from the 1960’s on the side of a disused road. This is the feel of the entry restaurant that sits atop a largely arid hillside with none of the lovely plants pictured on the site. There were a couple of palm trees over dying grass, concrete and sand. The photos are so far from the reality that we thought the place was abandoned long ago—and perhaps taken over by squatters who thought they could make a fast buck. We were honestly frightened by what might happen next. While it does indeed seem to be a hotel, the photos and descriptions are so far from reality that we walked around in a stupor trying to sort out the cognitive dissonance. Could it be that the resort that constantly touts itself as a yoga surf resort might have neither yoga nor surf? Not even a real beach? No….couldn’t be. Right? The owner kept asking us what we expected to find and the truth was that the photos were so far from reality that it was hard to even know where to begin. We said we expected a private beach-so he pointed to a fabricated sandy area roughly the side of two kids sandboxes with a metal fence around it. We expected five surf beaches—instead there isn’t any sandy beach at all and the surf spots are accessed by boat for a few. We expected yoga—he assured us there is yoga (though it’s hard to see where he could be hiding it) and other reviewers say the yoga consists of a mat and a spot to practice on your own. We expected plants and trees and a hang out area by the pool. Instead the large pool was empty and the little ones were so full of algae that I wondered whether the “EcoResort” was gathering carbon credits off the green pool growth. It’s a very good thing that we didn’t pay in advance, since we were able to pay only a day’s rate and leave quickly. But the place is so remote that we literally lost five hours of vacation getting there, touring it and getting back to where we started. Not to mention enough money that we could have stayed at a luxury hotel on the island for the amount we tossed away in a rush to leave. The owner was kind enough to offer us tea and let us use his wifi to find another hotel—a kindness we very much appreciated—but our anger grew when we finally settled at a lovely hotel and compared our photos with the ones online. What an utter misrepresentation. We’re uploading the photos here—the one with sand under the shadow of a palm tree and a metal fence—THAT is the beach. We both nearly died laughing when he pointed it out, but the owner was clearly upset and we were just trying to get out without a massive conflict. Zoom in on the pool with water in it (as opposed to the one they were filling with a garden hose) and you might get a sens

The bedsheets were slept in with stains, pool area very dangerous - cracked concrete, it’s remote / very difficult access to get to, no bar fridge / bottled water, no alcohol, was unaware of ‘toilet paper in bin’ situation required. Half the building isn’t finished. The staff were very friendly, food looked great, view is amazing.
Response from Property: Dear Sam, we are a retreat. Isolated from the city buzz in the middle of the jungle, quiet, and have an amazing view. Our guests looking for that and are happy to stay with us. No idea how is a couple of millimeters crack in a garden floor after an earthquake can be extremely dangerous. We will fix it soon as possible. We carry about the eco-environment and use bio septic tanks, and ask our guests to put all sanity things in the rubbish bin and not in the toilet, and we get the first comment during the all-time operation of the Inligh Lombok about it. I’m so sorry we need to carry for the nature. We have a number of juices and smoothies, coffee, tea, and free water available for all of our guests. We don't sell alcohol but was offered to you, we can buy it in the shop and put it in the fridge as a help without any extra charge, because we didn't like to have a profit from alcohol sales. I’m personally checking your bedsheet and that was absolutely new and clean. No idea what we did badly for you, also we returned your money and you did not stay with us. I just would like to say sorry for your experience, and hope we can do our services better

Situated in a little cove right at the end of Gerupuk Bay, this restaurant was a great find. The food was excellent and this became our go to in Gerupuk! The restaurant was not very busy, staff very attentive and the views were amazing. Don’t be put off by the drive up the hill…

Good location and suitable for those going surfing. The hotel is dilapidated and lacks maintenance. Requires urgent works and attention to detail and decoration. The rooms and the hotel in general are not very clean and unkept. There are 2 buildings on the land that are unfinished and in a decrepit state. The staff is very friendly.
