The hotel is a bit of a walk from Sendai Station, perhaps a little further than popular chains like Daiwa Roynet or Comfort Hotel. On the upside, it's quite close to the Sendai Morning Market and Mont-bell. If you have large luggage and are only staying for a one-night transit, I personally found the walk a bit inconvenient.
The front desk staff spoke excellent English, and the hotel provided a full range of amenities. The facilities were in good condition and felt quite new. The lobby offered various useful leaflets for exploring Sendai, and there was also a mobile app available (I didn't use it, but those interested can scan it).
The room itself was remodel, the rest of the area like bathroom and general area shows its age. But as with all hotel in Japan even when the building is old, the facility maangement is always top notch that everything is kept spotless. Meaning while the style of the decor is older everything is always like mint. Cannot get more central location its always next to the busier street of Sendai and few min walk to the train station. the triple room with 3 beds is perfect for our family of 4.
A nice little hotel, conveniently located near the Sendai Station and is easy to find. The artificial public hot bath, though small, is nice to get rid of fatigue after a day's tour. The breakfast place is a bit small but the food is very nice with sashimi. A bit disappointed though as they didn't serve beef tongue curry (beef curry instead) on the day of my stay, but overall quite a good hotel and will book again if I ever visit Sendai again.

Great location! Few minutes walk from Sendai station and surround with lots of shops, restaurants and department store. There are 7-eleven and Starbucks at the first floor. The room is very nice. Everything is new, clean, with good space for two 28” luggage to open at the same time and we still can walk around the room. The staffs were so nice and provided prompt support. We found problem about the hair dryer at midnight and the staff changed a new one to us immediately.
There are free amenities that you could pick at lobby.
Highly recommend and would definitely choose this hotel if we have a chance to visit Sendai again 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hotel Monterey is centrally located just outside the Sendai Station and is easily seen after you exit the station. The staff was very courteous and helpful at the time of check in. Language could be an issue but is easily manageable. I was offered a single room in a lower floor and on my request for a room on the higher floor, without any hesitation I was allotted a double room on the higher floor.
The ambience of the restaurant for breakfast was great and the variety of food served catered to Japanese and western. The breakfast was delicious.
I had to extend my stay and this was also done seamlessly without any issues.
Overall a great hotel centrally located with plenty of shopping around. If I come to Sendai again, I will return to Hotel Monterey if I visit Sendai again.
old charming 80's building. Service is good and prefect location. Room is rather basic, the bathroom has bad smelling. There are 2 pillows but both are very small, I did not have good sleep.
All amenities were available in the lobby, and it felt like you could get whatever you needed whenever you wanted. I went by car, and although there was parking, it wasn't free. Also, if you had a large car, you had to park behind the station, and there was a small additional fee.
Other than that, it was clean, just like a typical business hotel.
The hotel staff were incredibly helpful, and even the cleaning team offered warm greetings, creating a very pleasant atmosphere throughout. The amenities were plentiful, and above all, the room was spotlessly clean. What truly impressed me was that the room came fully equipped with ReFa brand essentials: a straightener, curling iron, hairdryer, and even a ReFa shower head – it was absolutely fantastic! The excellent location was another huge plus, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, which was incredibly convenient.
Everything was great, except for the room being a little small. Highly recommended! The location is excellent for transportation and provides easy access to amenities. The hotel is well-equipped, making it convenient for getting around, and the staff are professional. I would definitely book here again next time.

FFoshA stroke of bad luck left us stranded in Sendai when the JR East Shinkansen network was suspended. As the night wore on with no trains in sight, we grew anxious. By 11:30 p.m., we decided to book a hotel for the night. Thankfully, the hotel turned out to be a pleasant surprise — newly and tastefully renovated, cosy, and functional. The highlight was the lounge, which offered complimentary beverages and a play area for kids — an unexpected but welcome touch. Like most hotels in Japan, it provided complimentary toiletries, but this one went a step further with facial masks and bath salts — a thoughtful touch that made the stay even more relaxing.

SshawndaikiModern and new hotel located a short walk from Sendai station and Loople bus stop.
Relatively small rooms but comfortable. Particularly enjoyed the separated dry and wet areas in the bathroom with onsen style faucet and tub.
Complimentary coffee machine available from 1300-0100 and help yourself to bath amenities available in the lobby.
FFang0820Hotel where you can watch the sunrise from bed.
Around 4:30 AM, I went to the restroom and suddenly noticed a light shining through the window. I initially thought it was just the lights from a nearby building. However, the light started changing colors, and it was absolutely stunning – it turned out to be the sunrise! I quickly went back to bed, grabbed my phone, snapped a photo, and then took a short video. Afterward, I happily went back to sleep.
For this three-night stay in Sendai, I booked a standard room at KOKO Hotel (Sendai Citizen's Park). The hotel's location is excellent, near Kotodai-Koen Station. It's about a 15-minute walk, passing Aoba-dori Station and Hirose-dori Station along the way.
The room wasn't huge, but there was enough space between the two beds to open a suitcase. The bathroom was a standard modular unit, very neat and clean. My room number was 1018.
拉拉拉林KOKO HOTEL Sendai Station West is just a 5-minute walk from Sendai Station West Exit, boasting an extremely convenient location with numerous shops and restaurants nearby. While the rooms are slightly compact, they are clean and comfortable, featuring amenities like a bidet and a washlet toilet in the bathroom, with ample self-service toiletries provided. The staff are multilingual and friendly, and both the front desk and luggage storage services are convenient. Breakfast offers a wide variety of options, including local specialties, providing excellent value for money. The laundry facilities (washers and dryers) are limited, so you might need to wait or use a nearby laundromat. Overall, the stay was very pleasant, making it an ideal choice for short-term travelers or business trips.
Wwxy3393Booked a single non-smoking room for two nights. The lobby is on the 3rd floor and my room is on the 7th floor. The hotel sign looks quite eye-catching on the pedestrian street. From Sendai Station, walk along Nakakucho Pedestrian Street to Ichibancho Pedestrian Street, then walk along Ichibancho toward Hirose-dori. You will see the hotel after you pass Hirose-dori. There is a large 7-11 supermarket on the first floor of the hotel, which is very convenient.
WwendyIt was my first time to stay in a capsule hotel. I was kind of doubtful about the security and clearness of it. But after my visit, this worry was gone. The place was small in size but have all the things you’ll need, and the sleeping environment was pretty comfy. (Although if you are sensitive to noise, be careful that someone sleeping next to you might snore)

GGustavo TozzoIn complete contrast to my previous night at a different city, coming to this hotel was a total change.
Friendly desk staff, helpful and accommodating. Well informed and willing to help.
The room was small but enough for one night. The bed was really comfortable as well.
The hotel has a Hot Bad that accommodates 4~6 people at once.
Really wonderful being able to take a very hot bad at such large place.
and all at no extra charge.
Only thing bad I have to say about the place is there was this smell of ”fresh” paint all throughout.
Bothered me a bit, but it was easy to put up with.
I will be staying again in October and look forward to it.
Unfortunately I took no photos. Will do so next time.
GGuest UserCozy hotel with frendly staff, there were no more single rooms left so they gave me a three-bed room for the same price which was great. Overall very clean, and the location was close enough for everything important!
