The large bath was comfortable, but the sliding door at the entrance was not working properly and was difficult to open and close.
I asked for a foot pressure point massage, and the quality didn't seem bad.
Breakfast was buffet style and the salad was good.
The location is near Goudangtai Station, about a few minutes away from the subway station. There are many convenience stores/restaurants nearby and the crowds are busy.
The hotel is too old. The room wall facilities are yellow and have spots. The exhaust point in the shower room is full of dust. The better thing is that cleaning services are provided every day. Soft improvement.
The hotel staff are very polite. A big thumbs up!
The price of booking a 2-bed double room is less than NT.1000. The room is large and has a high CP value. The supplies are complete. If the supplies are not enough, you can get them at the counter. I will continue to choose this hotel next time I travel.

My wife and I have traveled to Japan many times and stayed at the Richmond Hotel for the first time. After staying for six days and five nights, we decided that we would choose this brand first wherever we go in Japan! Let me share with you the following points:
1. It is very close to the station. You can reach the door within five minutes of walking with your suitcase after exiting the station. There is a FamilyMart convenience store next to the first floor. I really like the simple and elegant feeling of the entrance on the first floor of the hotel.
2. We booked a double room, which was of medium size. The room equipment was well maintained. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. When we walked out of the elevator, we felt the air quality was good. The entire corridor to the outside of the room door also felt very comfortable.
3. We lingered over breakfast and midnight snacks. The food was delicious and the service staff made us feel at home. We sincerely thank them.
4. The cleaning service staff will not make people feel intrusive, and they will have a good attitude when meeting people in the corridor, and will not make people feel uneasy (I personally attach great importance to this)
The lobby is very beautiful, and the second floor is directly connected to Sendai Station by a sky bridge, which is very convenient. There is a large 7-11 next to it, and it is also close to various department stores for shopping. The room is small and dark, but the overall CP value is still very high.
3-4 mins walk from Sendai Station. It’s well located and it’s super clean. Staffs were super friendly and helpful. Hotel for 3 of us was great, spacious and facilities inside the room was awesome for the amount I paid! Definitely value for money! Thank you and I will book this again if I ever come Sendai 🤙🏻
Hotel is conveniently located near to shops and train station, making it easy to travel around and get your food/souvenirs. Furniture are well-maintained. Bathtub is small but deep enough for one to soak after a day of shopping and sightseeing.
The room is of a good size and very clean. The breakfast is simple, a fusion of Japanese and Western styles, not pure Japanese style. It is one stop away from Sendai Station, and you can take the subway or bus.
Facilities
Large bath: two pools, no steam room.
Facilities: Toiletries are available by the front desk.
Toyoko Inn Hotel is a Japanese budget hotel chain. There are many stores and most of them are near the subway. It is convenient to travel. This is no exception. You can see it in seven or eight minutes from Sendai Station along the left hand direction. There are also popular beef tongue shops and convenience stores along the way. It is very convenient. The disadvantage is that the hotel is small in size and close to the road, and it is particularly noisy to sleep at night.
This hotel, Dongheng, not expensive, the room is not big, but feels at ease, intimate, walking seven or eight minutes from the station, very convenient, breakfast is not rich but enough, very good.

Outstanding
AAmanda ChngIt's my 2nd stay here in this hotel, and I love it. Nice room layout, ample space for a solo occupant, comfy bed, and pillows. I like the bit where i can open window slight ajar for ventilation. A little corner to lounge, sip my morning coffee, and watch the street bustle below. Good amenities are provided, and service staffs were polite and helpful.
IISsey MiYakeI love this hotel so much.
Room is super spacious and love the scent of this hotel once you step into this hotel.
Walking distance to many places such as Sendai Morning Market , donki donki, Japanese local restaurants and Sendai Station ( a bit far )
If you didn’t book breakfast here is fine too, there are some restaurant nearby early in the morning for English Breakfast or to go.
We drove our car here , however you need to pay JPY 1500 per day to park your car.
Reception is at 26th floor so once you park your car you need to take lift to lobby and from lobby take another lift to reception check in.
GGuest UserIt's a bit of a walk from Sendai Station, but it's easy to find and the location is good.
It was a smoking room so there was a smell, and I asked for a machine to deodorize it when I went out, but it didn't improve much. However, the room itself was clean and the unit bath was spacious and easy to use. The front desk staff were also very pleasant and polite.
They offered drink service, which was very convenient.
There were also many amenities available, which I was grateful to use.
The front desk staff were all kind and polite, so I had a comfortable stay.
I would like to use them again.
MMagnus TanThe hotel was perfectly nice for a short stay. It is just over 5 mins walk from JR Sendai station’s West Exit. You need to navigate elevated walkways, walk past a store called “Loft” and walk to the end of the elevated walkway, to a building called “Labi Sendai”. It’s got a Daiso in it. A lift will take you down to street level on the same side of the road as the hotel.
I had a single room and it was reasonably spacious. What struck me was how nicely appointed it felt. At the bedside was a small sofa with a table, which was a good place to put all my things and charge my electronic devices. The bed was comfortable for me and the bathroom was fine. The only thing missing in the room was a safe to store my valuables while I was out for the day. I had to lock my laptop in my suitcase.
HHoSGreat hotel in a fantastic location within walking distance to JR central train station with limited car parking facilities directly behind the hotel and next to a local train station (which we forgot the name of the station as we rented a vehicle).
If you drive to the hotel and decided to use the hotel car park (subject to availability), the hotel will charge you ¥1500.00 per night with unlimited entry and exit within the next 24 hours. Of course there are plenty of other car parks nearby too which offers cheaper rate for parking but you’ll have to hunt around or just pay the ¥1500 for the convenience.
The onsen (indoor only no outdoor and the water is milky) is located on the 2nd floor which is the same floor with the hotel only restaurant which offers buffet breakfast. The gender separated onsen closes at midnight and won’t be opened till 9am the next day so you’ll need to time yourself well.
There is a laundry and dryer self service facilities with vending machines and complimentary ice making machine on the 2nd floor for your convenience.
Breakfast is a typical western and Japanese affairs however you won’t be left hungry.
Service is of typical Japanese affairs where you will be greeted each time you walk past the reception. The hotel encourages you to pick up tea bags, onsen body scrubs, tooth brushes, combs etc next to the ground floor lifts before you head up to your room.
If you stay more than a day but less than 3 days, the hotel won’t provide room service but they’ll gladly change the towels and clear the bins for you.
We are allocated to a smallest room on 11th floor (room:1106) facing the Yodobashi multi story car park, so request for any middle rooms facing the train station would get you a bigger a better view.
Comfortable stay and nice bed and good bathroom and for the price we pay, we have no complain.
AAnonymous UserHotel is approx 5 mins walk from Sendai station. Follow west exit. My single room is a bit small but spacious enough for a solo. Room was clean and linen crisp. 1 bottle of water provided each day. Onsen is small with one outdoor. Over my 2-day stay at most I bumped into another person in the onsen. 2 washers and dryers in the onsen facility. Wash is free (30 mins standard) but dryer is charged 100 yen for 20 mins which is enough to 80% dry a small load. Night ramen was delicious and I appreciate the ice cream and Yakult at the onsen. Family mart is 20 steps away. Didn’t try the breakfast. And it’s actually very near the Miyakoh highway bus centre.
AAnonymous UserSendai is a city in Japan’s Tohoku Region, northeast of Tokyo on Honshu island. The remains of 17th-century Sendai Castle, built for samurai lord Date Masamune on Aoba Hill, overlook the city and include a museum of historic artifacts. The Sendai City Museum focuses on the history and culture of Japan’s Edo period, and displays Masamune’s samurai armor.
AAzmalAt Breakfast buffet they serve food with all the allergy ingredients but it was not at all clearly mentioned if it has pork or beef or chicken.
Example : there was a potato salad where it says they do not have pork in it but found out that they put pork sausage inside them while eating and they will will let you know after you ask them.
If they would have mentioned clearly it would be better to reconsider when you have allergy issues.
I feel that was poorly organized.
Please be careful with the allergy issues before eating during the breakfast and ask them in details about the ingredients if you feel confused.
GGustavo TozzoIn complete contrast to my previous night at a different city, coming to this hotel was a total change.
Friendly desk staff, helpful and accommodating. Well informed and willing to help.
The room was small but enough for one night. The bed was really comfortable as well.
The hotel has a Hot Bad that accommodates 4~6 people at once.
Really wonderful being able to take a very hot bad at such large place.
and all at no extra charge.
Only thing bad I have to say about the place is there was this smell of ”fresh” paint all throughout.
Bothered me a bit, but it was easy to put up with.
I will be staying again in October and look forward to it.
Unfortunately I took no photos. Will do so next time.
GGustavo TozzoThe hotel was simple, and the front staff were very friendly, and though the room was clean, it was one of the smallest I have stayed at. It seems to be quite an old hotel, but it’s nicely kept and the location is really good. Several convenience stores close by, and the Sendai station is also an walking distance. The lack of amenities was a disappointment, and during a pouring rain there were no umbrellas available, which was a downer.
Having said that, I would not hesitate to stay again at this hotel if it’s available during my trip (I do travel to Sendai regularly)
Sorry I didn’t take photos… I was quite busy during my stay…
