I wanted to go to Akiu Onsen and was wondering which hotel to choose, but I chose this one and am very satisfied! The staff were very kind and the hotel was very clean. There were many baths and I was very satisfied with them. Thank you very much.

The hot spring is nice. The food is average and the room is a bit old. The price/performance ratio is not high. It is okay to go once, but I won't go a second time. The transportation is not very convenient.

We use it when there are events. I am satisfied with both the service and facilities, but I was disappointed with the bath this time due to the construction of the bath. I think about it every time, but Kawara-no-Yu is an elegant bath with a beautiful view, but when you arrive at it after walking down a long hallway, it's full and you can't get in, so you end up having to go back again. We would like to provide a service that allows us to check the current situation.

衞生：挺乾淨的。每天都會清掃換水 服務：也很好，旅館很大，入住前都會給每個房間一個地圖。並標識清楚每個樓層使用的時間和性別。 哈哈哈哈…酒店真的很大。也挺特別的。

We took a chance on this onsen resort hotel as there was no recent reviews. We were charmed by the beautiful hotel lobby with indoor koi ponds. It was serene and peaceful and despite the many rooms, it was quiet and not crowded. The Japanese-styled tatami room was huge and very clean. I tried 2 hotel onsens during my 1 night stay. I must admit that some of the onsens were rotated between male and female users and closed at certain hours for cleaning. So it took a while to plan which onsens I could use during my short stay. to be honest, I was looking forward to having a unique experience at the open air onsen next to the stream. I was there at 10.30 pm (it closed at 11 pm) and because the corridor leading to it and the changing/cleaning room were semi-open (exposed to cold night air) it was indeed a very cold experience. Outside the onsen, it was pitch dark and I could not see the stream nor hear any running water (likely low volume of stream water then). My husband made an effort to use the same onsen at 5.30 am the next day. He did not manage to reach the onsen in his Yukata. The extreme cold air along the corridor made him return to the warmer hotel room. He could not find another onsen that was open. The dinner and breakfast buffets were great except that for dinner dishes, most did not have English labels so we were rather lost and chose to forgo some unfamiliar dishes. Labelling for breakfast dishes was much better. Akiu is a very quiet onsen area with nothing much to visit in the vicinty. We found the hotel bus transfer from Sendai Station to be very useful. A map on pickup point sent in advance for customers would have helped. I would recommend this onsen, it's rates charged are very reasonable compared to onsens in other popular areas.

This was my first time at Akiu Onsen. I was really looking forward to staying at the famous Sakan, but there were some things that were a bit disappointing. First of all, the bath. The open-air bath on the third basement floor was very good, but one of the bathtubs in the Natori Onsen indoor bath was not accessible, and the washing area was very cold... I think the selling point is the semi-open-air bath, but I think they need to come up with some ideas to make it a little warmer in the winter. Next, the food. The food was very delicious, but the dining area and the serving area were far apart, and we had to walk through a narrow corridor, so it was very nerve-wracking. There was a high chance of bumping into someone or dropping food, so it was a bit difficult to eat calmly. I don't think the place was designed with a buffet format in mind, so I would appreciate it if they could improve the way the food is served.

This is an inn that left a very strong impression on me when I visited it several decades ago. Although it has changed a lot now, part of the old main building and the hearth remain, and I remember it fondly. This time, I had a room with a bed, so I was able to rest comfortably. It was a shame that a few pigeons always came outside the window and the handrails were dirty with their droppings. In some hot springs, there is hair on the floor of the changing room, which can be uncomfortable, but at this inn, the staff cleaned the floor even late at night, and it was clean and comfortable. Since we used it during Golden Week, there were many people with children, and there were times when the public bath was lively. I think I would have enjoyed the food more if I had taken the time to eat dinner. It may be that the eating speed here is slow. It's a little disappointing that it takes less than an hour from Sendai, but I was able to use the shuttle bus, which was helpful. This is an inn I would like to visit again someday.

Stayed with my parents and my wife. When my mother unfolded the yukata that was provided in the room, a large piece of cotton dust (like solidified garbage from the washing machine) fell from her chest, so we decided to bring a new one from our room and wear it. Also, some of the large public baths may be out of order, but the baths are far away. It was not an easy distance for my elderly parents to go, and just going to the bathroom was exhausting. One of the elevators was out of order, so while I was waiting, I looked around and noticed spider webs in the corners of the lights and ceiling. The food was so-called dinner at a ryokan, and it was delicious, but the wild vegetable yosenabe-style dish was seasoned only with the clam stock, so even though I like wild vegetables, it was too bitter. Overall, it wasn't bad, but there were a few disappointing aspects that clouded my impression of the hospitable drink service and rich breakfast menu. I felt that even though the young staff members were working hard, they were losing out.

Check-in starts at 15:00, so if you check in before 15:00, you can go to your room at 15:00.You look at your watch and when it's 15:00, a lot of people go to the elevator. It might be possible to improve the cleaning situation if there was a system to check it and understand it. Room: Clean, quiet, comfortable. There is a refrigerator, but you have to buy your own drinks in advance (water is provided in plastic bottles). Dinner: Large quantity. It was a meal at a hot spring hotel, so it didn't feel special, but the service staff I was concerned about the smell. The drink menu was at a level that I would like to see improved. Baths can be replaced, near and far baths, both indoor and open-air baths are clean Breakfast: 1000 points! There are so many types of dishes that it's hard to get confused. All-you-can-drink beer and wine from the morning Check out We had to wait for a while, but it went smoothly. I wonder if I can get a 5 rating if I change the level of dinner next time I go.Therefore, it would be better to purchase drinks for the room before checking in. There is a convenience store in sight and a supermarket nearby. There is a shop that is famous for soba noodles across the bridge, so be sure to check it out if you go there! About 30 minutes to Sendai city

As expected from a long-established inn. Overall the response was smooth. I was especially grateful that a young employee saw the situation and came forward to speak to me. On the other hand, the veteran front desk staff was busy, so I guess it can't be helped, but I was a little disappointed that they hardly looked at me and responded in a hurry. The distance from the room to the public bath was complicated and seemed difficult for elderly parents. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable.

Although some areas were unavailable due to the effects of the earthquake and COVID-19, we were satisfied with the room upgrades, meals, and customer service.
