I recently stayed at Coco Inn in Sabah and was disappointed by my experience. Despite the high rating on the internet, I found several issues with the hotel that made my stay less enjoyable.
Regarding transportation, the hotel did not disclose on their website that there would be an additional cost of $30 to $50 RM for taking their boat to the main island of Semporna and they only provide free boat for check-in and check-out only. This lack of transparency was frustrating for me as a guest, as it meant that I had to unexpectedly pay more for transportation than I had planned. Additionally, the hotel's staff made loud noise in the morning within the resort, which disturbed my peaceful morning. Besides, there was a lot of garbage on the water which made us totally lost interest in using the water slide within the resort.
As for communication, the hotel's contact information on their website was incorrect, which made it impossible for me to get in touch with them directly. This lack of communication created a sense of confusion and frustration, especially when I needed to make arrangements for transportation or ask questions about the hotel's amenities. Fortunately, I was able to get help from a local diving center, which helped me contact the hotel's owners privately. Besides, I left a message regarding some diving course and requests when I book the hotel which several months ago, but no reply from the hotel at all and I cannot even request a refund in this kind of messy situations.
Finally, I was disappointed with the quality of the food provided at the hotel. Not only were the taste of the food was also subpar , but the portion sizes of the food was also inadequate. They would never refill even the sauce, biscuit and food are empty. As a result, I found myself looking for alternative dining options nearby, which was inconvenient and added to the overall cost of my stay.
All in all, my experience at Coco Inn in Sabah was marred by these issues, and I would caution other potential guests to carefully consider these factors before booking their stay at this hotel.

It was my first time to experience a water house. The slide went directly into the sea. It was very interesting.
Service: The hotel's arrangements are in place and they can help you solve any problems you have. We booked a charter boat for snorkeling for two people. The instructor is also very professional and will dive to the bottom of the sea to help you catch the fish from the bottom of the sea.
Facilities: As soon as I entered the room, I couldn't wait to experience the slide. At first, I was worried that I would sink into the sea if I slid down. There are life jackets at the front desk, so there is no need to worry.
Free dinner: The dishes are very rich, the chicken is very tender, the crabs are also very fresh, there is crab roe in it, you can’t get enough of the shrimps
