Luxury Bed and Breakfast at Bossington Hall in Exmoor, Somerset

We had a fantastic stay at Bossington Hall. It’s set in a beautiful, peaceful location with stunning views. Our room was beautifully decorated, with great attention to detail. It was very spacious, well-maintained and came with a lovely large bathroom. The breakfast was excellent as well — delicious food enjoyed with a wonderful view. A charming touch were the binoculars placed around the house, allowing us to take in even more of the surrounding nature. We were even given a pair to take with us, along with a helpful tip to reach Dunkery Hill by bike, so we could try to spot Exmoor ponies. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed the use of the honesty bar with fair prices for the products. We truly wished we could have stayed longer, but unfortunately had to move on after just two nights. When we go back to England we will definitely visit Bossington Hall again.

Comfortable & spacious with sea views. Hosts Guy & Anne’s beautiful renovation of this stately & welcoming home has it all: attention to detail and to guests without hovering. Loads of thoughtful extras like easy EV car charging, place settings so guests can relax with an evening takeout, an honesty bar. Then there were those unscripted moments: peregrine falcons that congregated in a big pine in the garden nearly every evening, a 100 year old mulberry tree with delicious berries and playing squash in an historic squash court! Highly recommend. We will be back!

We must have stayed at Bossington Hall seven or eight times now! It’s the peace and tranquility which primarily draw us there. The views from the terrace are just sublime! All you can hear is the occasional sheep and some birds… However the consistently warm welcome from Guy and the mouthwatering breakfast also deserve a mention! Can’t wait to go back in November for another recharge. 😊

Our second stay, every bit as impressive as the first. The quality and attention to detail are highly impressive. If the Hall were near London or had a restaurant it would justify twice the price. As it is, it's beautifully situated and, with rooms and breakfasts to dream of, tremendously good value

This was our third time at Bossington Hall and our first in nearly 3 years. It is still as wonderful as ever, improved by the increased honesty offering of snacks and drinks. Our room (Ivystone) was very spacious and comfortable. The huge bathroom was also impressive. We had previously stayed in Endercombe which was equally lovely. The breakfast is excellent, both in produce and service. The woman serving us was friendly, professorial and attentive. The food is beautifully cooked and the choice of continental options is good. This is a beautiful and special place.. we are already planning another trip.

This B & B is exceptional! The interior decor is in keeping with the building's age and has been curated wonderfully. Everywhere is really clean and well thought out; my room had a view to die for and was well equipped. Breakfast was varied and generous. I will be back.
