Hotel Dorfer Alpine&Charming

We stayed at the Hotel Dorfer for nine days. I booked it to celebrate my wifes's birthday and our 40th anniversary. This hotel is very special. Heidi and her staff do a wonderful job. First of all the ambience is spot on, but more importantly the service and comfort of this hotel are the best that I have experienced in many years of international travel. We purchased the half board and were very pleased to have done so. Mariana, Julia and the waiters were both friendly, helpful and competent. We also wanted to thank Valbonna at the front desk who made a number of arrangements for us, as my wife broke her shoulder in the middle of the stay. Despite this setback she said that she loved our stay at the Hotel Dorfer .

The best hotel that you can book your stay in Selva di Val Gardena. Terrific food, excellent stuff, clean rooms. Hotel is located just few minutes away from ski lifts. Hotel provides free ski bus cards. Free parking in front of the hotel. Amazing place!!!👍

We had several issues with the key cards; they stopped working, and the receptionist refused to give us another key card so we could enter our room. The staff did not allow individuals to be seated adjacent to the bar after 10 p.m., even if we had not ordered food, and they were all drinking alcohol, which is unprofessional attitude. Even while the setting is pleasant and the views from certain rooms are spectacular, I recommend that you choose a more practical hotel with a swimming pool that you can use. Please consider this as a means of assisting you in making the proper decision.

We had multiple problems with the key cards, they stopped working and the receptionist declined to give us an another key card for us to get into our room. She tried to frighten us with paying 3 euros for an another key but we found our way back. The fridge leaked with dirty water, and it split all over our precious food. Most of the restaurant staff is lovely but some gave us stares when we were eating cookies. The staff did not allow people to stay seated next to the bar, even without ordering food after 10pm and they were all drinking alcohol, which is unprofessional behaviour. Even though the location is nice and the views from some rooms are terrific, I recommend you find a more practical hotel with an actual swimming pool you can enjoy. Please consider this as a way of helping you decide on the right thing.

We are a big family of 12, who spent a whole week at the hotel. We enjoyed every minute ! the rooms are amazingly cozy and spacious, the hotel staff are always happy to help and are super welcoming. The restaurant was def the top, the food is absolutely amazing starting from a rich morning buffet and the chef style dinner was delicious every night. The sauna is also very nice with a few options and a nice relax room. All in All - 10 out of 10 !

We spent a week over New Year at Hotel Dorfer. We had an absolutely amazing stay! The hotel was lovely and the food was excellent. All of the staff were incredibly friendly. The NYE gala was a brilliant evening and the staff went beyond expectations to provide a great evening. Would 100% recommend!

One week of skiing over New Year with 5 adult family members. We all enjoyed our stay. The hotel is a little walk from the bars and apres ski but is very close to the nursery slopes with good access to the whole resort. Welcoming staff and excellent nicely varied food. Very comfortable spacious rooms with plenty of storage.
